Guest WarmheartedPups Posted August 1, 2007 Share Posted August 1, 2007 (edited) Roo has cutaneous Hemangiosarcoma........I have been told the margins are clean and re occurance is low. I am in shock I am not sure if things are ok. I have tried googling and dont find much. Does any one know about the cutaneous form of Hemangiosarcoma? I dont know whether to panic or not. I consulted Dr. Couto during Tuck's ordeal and he assured me that as long as it's caught early and clean margins are obtained that the probablility of it metastizing are very low. White dogs tend to be more prone to getting dermal hemangio. I know exactly what you are going through. I check Tuck over daily, to make sure he hasn't developed any other "spots". You'll want to keep an eye out for other spots and bumps and get them seen promptly, but chances are, Roo will be here driving you nuts -- in a good way! -- for a long time. Sending hugs. When Brindle had it, it was already secondary to splenic hemangio. If ultrasound and xrays are clean, then you've got an excellent prognosis. Good luck.
