Guest greytfulhounds Posted July 24, 2007 Share Posted July 24, 2007 It is with a shattered heart that I write to tell you all that we had to help our sweet Joanie girl to the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. Her body was tired and she was letting us know that she was not enjoying life anymore and it was time for her to go. Mommy Girl as we affectionately called her was a fighter and she has been struggling over the past 2 years with one illness after another...........3 surgeries just since November. Each time she battled through something you could see more of our spunky girl slip away. We will never, ever forget our beautiful Mommy Girl, her soft belly & ears and boy did she love those belly rubs!! What a treat hound she was too........Joanie could find a treat anywhere and would not rest until it was hers........she always knew exactly where the biskies were kept and was more than happy to show you. As sick as she was sometimes she would always get up to meet us at the door, even if we were only gone 10 minutes. Joanie was the boss & extremely animated.......when it was bed time or when she wanted her treat, she would stomp her little feet and whoo hoo at us until she got what she wanted. Even with 6 other doggies in the house her presence is already greatly missed. Run free & whole our sweet beautiful girl until we meet up with you again one day in the land of biskies.
