  1. Hooks are notorious for NOT showing in fecal tests. They are also notorious for being HARD to eradicate and require repeated and consist worming.
  2. Hooks are a PITA to get rid of. I cleared up a dog with a cycle of worming 4 days week one, 2 days week two, 2 days week three and 1 day week four. I repeated the process two months later and again a month later.
  3. Yup, purebred. I just ran a 2 year old mutt verses a 2 year old greyhound through several companies. The mutt was cheaper.
  4. We have fed Purina One lamb and rice for years with no issues.
  5. Great products. I use a mortar and pestel to grind them up and add it to their food.
  6. This is what we used for Danger to keep his eye lubricated, GenTeal Severe Dry Eye Relief. Our Eye Vet swears by it! I am not sure what the UK version is. Since Walgreens now owns Boots, perhaps you can check there or see if it can be shipped to you or to your nearest store. Sending comforting hugs and energy.
  7. It is no big deal. Some dogs do, both males and females, and some don't. I wouldn't even give it a second thought. We have had 5 males greyhounds in our home over the years. The only male dog I have had in my adult life that consistently lifts his leg is our Crestie, Freddie Mercury. And another Crestie, Sally Ride likes to lift her leg too.
  8. Yes, this is what Danger had. The left side of his head caved in, but since he was behaving normally, we chatted with our regular Vet and we took a wait-and-see stance on it. Several months later, he developed an eye issue and we took him to an Eye Vet who strongly recommended a Neurology exam. The Neurologist took one look at him and knew what it was. She said we could do an MRI or watch it. We did not do an MRI as there is no cure or real treatment and it would not alter the course of events for Danger. Plus we just could not afford it. We tried pred. for a while and saw no improvement. Danger thrived for well over a year after the muscle cave in. He did have multiple eye issue with the same side eye that required constant treatment. We kept his eye lubricated with an OTC eye gel for people. The deficits started showing up, but he did fine for a while. The deficits starting worse and severe enough that he was having trouble walking and such. His eye finally blew up and we could not keep it in check. We knew he was at the end. Good luck.
  9. Yup, I agree with the Vet Tech.
  10. We used 4-legged jammies for Disco. He didn't care about the pink flowers on them.
  11. Yup, insist on it. Despite the vaccine, dogs can still get Lepto.
  12. Something smelly that she likes. No big deal in my house.
  13. I am pretty sure he wants to watch his favorite TV shows. Or maybe porn. :rofl
  14. It sounds like prey drive to me. NeylasMon is an actual dog trainer and not a "keyboard" trainer. I would follow her suggestions.
  15. No sleepiness in my heard. Disco grew full hair on his flanks.
  16. My dogs did not like the Longevity. The Advanced Hip & Joint is VERY hard to break and none of the dogs would eat it whole. Boswellia makes it hard. Our holistic Vet strongly recommended Boswellia and she was a big fan of Borage oil.. I ended up getting a Mortar & Pestle at BB&B and using it to crush the pills to add to their food. Melatonin for hair growth, 10 mg a day.
  17. Use baby gates, not closed doors.
