  1. How wonderful is that!! Keep up the good work sweetie!
  2. You can't just add one NSAID on top of another! Oh please you need the Tramadol. When Jack was diagnosed he was started on Tramadol and Meloxicam (metacam)immediately. He lived for 6 months. He was NOT sedated at all. His pain was just totally controlled. I am very concerned.
  3. I knew it! Well I didn't but I did if you know what I mean. Doesn't arthritis sound good?
  4. Just to let you know that this is not just an animal thing. Infected teeth can cause heart disease in humans as well. I'm glad she's having a better day.
  5. Oh I'm sorry. I think you have made a very difficult but loving decision. I hope he can be with you for many weeks to come Emily.
  6. I'm glad it went well. Now heal well and uneventfully Vinnie.
  7. I'm so very sorry this is happening to you and your boy. I think because it is in his spine, it will be difficult. As was said previously, do not let him jump. I would insist in having some Tramadol on hand because when he needs it your vet may not ne available. Tell your vet you want enough to get you trhough the longest time he is not available - a whole weekend for example, if he won't give you a whole prescription now. It seems they are always worse at night. Spoil him and make sweet memories and come here often. We will be here.
  8. I know he's going to do better. I hope he's on his way home with you if that's the best place for him.
  9. Thank goodness. I confess I was very worried. So two good newses. Fabulous
  10. No life isn't the same is it? What I noticed was how quiet my house was. Jack was such a quiet boy I thought but then I realized that he sighed and nested and panted and groaned and moaned all the time. The other two just lie down and sleep. I don't know exactly when you you feel "better". I just know I don't feel as bad. It's a process. I love that picture of Lewis. It's perfect. Hugs to you Blair. Susan

    Abita Romeo

I'm so sorry for your pain. I'm so glad your Romeo's is done. Be gentle with yourself and please don't let his legacy be guilt. You loved him with all your heart and you did what was right. Listen Romeo, Jack and Lewis and all the other's are having a grand time at the bridge while they wait. In the mean time your angel will be watching over you.
  12. You aren't alone, there are many of us who are walking with as you help your baby to peace.
  13. Hey Vinnie you'll feel so much better once all that hardware is out of there. And you'll have your very own angel guiding the surgeons hand. How good is that?
  14. How is your boy doing? I've been thinking of you.
  15. That poor little boy. I'm glad he's on the doxy for now anyway. What a nightemare Robin.
  16. I'm so sorry. It just hurts so bad know. I hope he has many happy comfortable days left in which you can spoil him silly and make memories to last a life time.
  17. I wish path reports would come back faster but it will be a good one.
  18. Robin I know you can't help worrying about osteo. None of us who have had it rob of us of our hearts can but really you are right. It is very unlikely this time. His poor skeletal system is being thrown completely out of whack with his toe compounding his previous problem. Just like someone who injures a knee and begins to hurt in the opposite hip from compensating. Add to that his grief, his tummy issues and he is one sad puppy. He will improve. Try to remember how very desperate and low you were with him In the depths of his IBD and how very far he has come. It's so unfair that he is going through more. But you will get your boy back.
  19. I'm glad things are at least sounding a touch stable for now. Now a little weight gain wouldn't come amiss Misty.
