  1. Gypsy thanks everyone for their concern. She is feeling a bit better, swelling is down some.
  2. Poor baby her muzzle is so swollen she looks like a Bull Terrier! Good news though, she ate her mushy breakfast! She also took her pills with some cheese! I will give her a small snack in a little while, I only gave her a small breakfast. She is sleeping now and doesn't seem to be oozing anymore.
  3. Keeping both Andy and Max in my thought today!
  4. Glad to hear she ate! Hopefully that means she is feeling much better!
  5. Poor baby she's home. Her muzzle is a bit swollen. She lost 14 teeth! We have an additional pain med to go with the meds we got at the E-Vet. My Vet gave me his cell phone number in case I need him tonight (they do not have a vet on call or after hours service). Hopefully we will have a quiet night. Gypsy is sleeping right now, she is oozing a bit of blood.
  6. Poor Mizzy! Will she take pills with raw ground chicken? That works with Clark. Hope she feels better soon.
  7. Poor Gypsy gave me quite a scare last night. Her leg was cover in blood when she stood up at 9:30 when I called them to go out. I took her into the kitchen and cleaned her leg up, found nothing. Then I saw a drop on blood come out of her mouth. She whined when I tried to look. It seemed like a lot of blood so off to the E-vet. She has a very bad area in the incisor area and any small trauma causes it to bleed. Soft food only, on antibiotics and pain meds. Called my Vet this morning and they got her in right away tomorrow for a dental (even though they are booked for the next 2 weeks), most likely extractions will be needed.
  8. Sending good thoughts your way. My 16 year old kitty has intestinal lymphoma (his is small cell). He has been on chemo (two pills every other week) and pred for over a year now. When he got sick he went from 10 lbs to 6 lbs we thought we were going to lose him. The only thing he can consistently keep down is canned food (the mushy kind). We have him up to a little over 7lbs and he plays and acts silly. You wouldn't know he was sick or 16. I hope your Alex is as lucky.
  9. I use it, and one of my friends uses it on her greys. We both haven't had any problems with it.
  10. I use this also, but I also put a felt bootie over top. The foot will stay nice and dry. Just went through this in February, Clark had a sore between his toes that had to be kept dry. We had to keep a sock on the foot to prevent him from licking.
  11. You could try some Zims Crack Cream. I use it on Clark's feet when they crack from the cold. Walmart and Target carry it also several pharmacies. I use the spray but they also have it in cream and liquid. Works great, my husband also uses it on his hands.
  12. No advice on the swelling. For the cuts and cracks I use Zims Crack Creme (you can find it at Walmart, Walgrens, Mortons and I think Target). Clark's feet crack badly in the winter snow unless I use this. I put it when we come back in from snow zoomies in the yard (he usually has small cuts or cracks).
  13. I use baby wipes on all my dogs feet and on Clark's face (he's a messy eater). We haven't had any problems here.
  14. Vicks Vapor Rub around the exterior of the sore (not on the sore). Some dogs don't like the smell.
  15. Gypsy got a mild sedative and local for the stitches in her head. They had to shave and clean it up also some internal stitches. Only cost $49.00. Love my Vet! Edited because I can't spell this morning!
  16. I'm so sorry for your loss. The beautiful Miss LaceyLaine is now running pain free with all the other angels.
  17. I made an appointment for dreamy to go to the Vet on Wednesday. But I'm wondering if anyone here has seen this or has any idea what it may be? It's not a sore, it is a lump that has suddenly enlarged, almost tripled in size. She always had a small pea size spot there with no hair and we thought it was a scar. Sorry this is a bit blurry:
  18. Darcy you are gorgeous in pink! Keep up the good work sweetie!
  19. Darcy looks like she is doing really well. Keeping positive thoughts for her. Clark, Gypsy and Dreamy send sloppy kisses her way.
