  1. Adding my prayers for a restful night and a better day tomorrow.
  2. How is Misty this afternoon? Clark is still holding out for McDonalds hamburgers. So naturally I stopped and picked up some more for him while I was out running errands.
  3. Do you think she would use pee pads if you put them down? It might make things easier on both of you.
  4. Not what I wanted to read this morning! Saying more prayers that the patch works.
  5. Praying for a peaceful night for you and Coach.
  6. Thanks for asking. Clark is much better today, ate his McDonald's hamburgers for breakfast. Ate some canned food and another hamburger for dinner. He even barked at the UPS driver . I'm really surprised at how little swelling there is. He was 3 times as swollen when he lost the other canine.
  7. No advice but will keep Coach in my prayers.
  8. Glad to hear Misty is home and doing good. Clark sends sloppy kisses to Misty and says McDonalds hamburgers are a requirement after loosing teefers.
  9. I just paid $304. for Clarks dental, with 7 teeth extracted and pain meds sent home. I also had bloodwork done(full panel not just pre-anesthetic), heartworm test and Bordetella booster.
  10. Will be keeping your boy in my thoughts next Tuesday. I just went through this with Clark yesterday (he will be 12 in July).
  11. Clark is home and having a bit of a rough time. He is stressed out, once he calms down he should be ok. He lost 7 teeth including his other upper canine. Poor boy has no upper canines now.
  12. Please send prayers and positive thoughts for my boy. Clark does not have easy time for his dentals, he really needs one unfortunately. I'm always worried for him.
  13. What a nightmare for you! Will be keeping Jack in my prayers.
  14. Clark got three stitches in his leg on New Years day. It was done with just a local, no problem. I was in the room the whole time and Clark was fine. The E-Vet said for something that easy he would rather not sedate a greyhound.
  15. Sorry to hear about Draft's foot. Hope it heals quickly. For ease in soaking you can soak a couple of paper towels or a wash cloth (very drippy wet) put that over the foot then put a baggie over it to contain the dripping. The nice thing about this method is the dog can be snoozing on the couch the whole time.
  16. Most likely the chemo. Neko my kitty is on chemo and his coat got very dull, the texture changed and he did lose most of the hair on his ears. His coat is back to normal (very soft), but his ears are still nekkid they feel really funny with no hair!
  17. What a sweetie, so glad to hear he is doing better. My Clark sends him lots of get well wishes.
  18. One of my friends had a greyhound with mange. They successfully treated her with Revolution. If I remember correctly they did the two weeks, then once a month afterwards.
  19. Really depends on the Lymphoma and the patient. Neko my kitty has a type that responds well to treatment. he was diagnosed two years ago and is going strong. He eats well most days and rarely vomits. He doesn't play as much, but he will be 17 in February. He is on chemo (2 pills every other Friday) and Pred every other day. My vet didn't think he would still be around two years later and is now calling him the miracle kitty. Will be keeping your friends pup in my prayers.
  20. Have you tried baby food? It's gentle on the stomach and some dogs really love it.
  21. Lots of people still don't see animals as part of the family. I used to get weird looks when I picked up Phenobarbital elixir for Squeaker Sweet at the pharmacy. People would ask if that was my child's nickname and I would tell them no it was my birds name and he had epilepsy. Also I have had a few co-workers look at me crazy when they overhear one of my friends asking about how Neko is doing with his chemo. They ask why I would do that to a cat. I tell them why not, he still plays and has a good quality of life.
