  1. Dr. Jenifer called the ER dept when we lived in Grand Rapids MI and told them what regimen Dylan needed. He was screaming when we took him in. They gave him Robaxin, Rimadyl and one other thing I can't remember. We picked him up 12 hours later and came out like nothing happened. Tracy, (tbhounds) you are always there for us when we need you. Thank you....
  2. She popped right as we we're going in so I picked it up and gave it to the tech. They are testing for parasites and Giardia. I can always count on my GT peeps to help!!!
  3. Grace has had 3 episodes of excessively licking her lips and swallowing hard. She then wants to go outside and eat grass or leaves or anything that looks interesting. Typical upset stomach. Took her to Vet yesterday and he put her on Reglan once in the evening. I also think she has post nasal drip. Could the post nasal drip cause the same symptoms? I gave her Benadryl and it seemed to help tremendously. Any other suggestions??
  4. Time to see the Vet again. I definitely wouldn't use Neosporin that close to the eye.
  5. That's great news! You will see huge improvements every day...
  6. Thank you Ducky. Prayers for that sweet girl.
  7. Sometimes TBD can lay dormant and not always show up in bloodwork. I would go ahead and treat him with Doxycycline just in case. My first statement is in layman terms so if Tracy or JJing could step in and explain further I would appreciate it.
  8. Daisy had the same symptoms and Dr. Couto diagnosed her with thrombocytopenia. She was started on Doxycycline at the specialty center and her platelets starting rising. Her count was in the 40-50 range if I remember correctly. Seriously low. We didn't think she would pull through and she did! Dr. Couto kept her on Doxy for like 6 weeks or longer as he thought TBD has something to do with it also. Keep us posted...
  9. So glad he's home and doing well. Make sure you get some much needed rest also Annette.
  10. Annette, You can call and talk to the surgical student or Dr. on call at ANY TIME. When Cooper had his jaw surgery, they would call after rounds, and then I would call in the afternoon and late evening. Don't feel like you can't call. That's what they are there for. Sandy
  11. Thank you everyone. I knew I could count on my GT family for advise
  12. Prayers your way Annette. Please keep us posted after Thursday....
  13. Tracy, I thought Pogo had all the preop tests last week? I know Annette was upset with the coordinator of the surgery dept. I hope all goes well on Thursday and Friday.
  14. We will be visiting California for 2 months in Jan and Feb. Do we need to continue with Interceptor? Not sure what CA protocol is for heartworm protection....
  15. Kwolf, we lived in Oshkosh, WI at the time. It was Algoma Blvd but I can't think of the name of the hospital. Dr. Jeff Popp did the surgery. He was o e of the nicest guys in the world. Good luck with your pup.
  16. That was 8 years ago......Dylan is in heaven now, but lived a good long life. I miss him every day
