So young Fortunately for all of you, you found each other. Sending my sympathy
  3. I had an older grey with a lung tumor that was visible on xray. We kept him comfortable on pred for about 6 months before I had to say bye... Sending prayers.
  4. I hope your vets gave you a product insert on what to look for as to side effects. Deramaxx is probably the worst on the stomach. Re ACL tear: if you are on Facebook, contact Dr. Shelly Lake. Usually (or most often) greyhounds do not tear the ACL. I just don't want you to have her not get better and go thru an ACL operation when in fact, maybe it should be an amputation. Sending lots of prayers.
  5. Sending my sympathy. I know how much it hurts
  6. I know of one person whose vet felt that way and her beautiful girl died the first night.
  7. Crying with you....sending my sympathy

  9. I am sitting here in tears. What a special soul -- I am so glad you found each other. The journey was quite a trip Your care gave her more years than she would have had without you, and in leaving, somehow it doesn't surprise me that she went her way -- quick. Although a shock, most likely it is a blessing. Her story should be told every now and then -- it keeps us humble and gives us hope, reminds us we don't have much to complain about, and one can find joy in simply living and looking around. Sending my sympathy
  10. So, in a nutshell, beside Frontline (which is NOT working) and Sevin granules (which are NOT working), what else can I use for fleas & ticks that will kill them and not the dogs? Thinking of going to Adams.....
  11. What is the normal range in the protein? What is the normal protein/creatine ratio? I'd start with .5 thyroid twice a day and make sure you use soloxine. Who did the thyroid panel? If you want to email me and fax to my work # I can post them here. Since is he getting older, you might consider a potty break for him during the day. Especially if he does have a kidney issue. Does he do well alone in the house? Is it possible to leave the crate latched open so he can enjoy his crate but get out & tinkle if he has to go?
  12. My heart sunk when I saw his name Sending my sympathy
  13. Sending lots of prayers. I have not read all the posts. Have you tried acupuncture which is known to help seizures? Has he had a tick panel? I wish I could fix it for him (and you)

A beautiful angel. Sending my sympathy
  15. I could say so much but it won't change anything. Sending my sympathy. Anytime a dog is on a NSAID and their appetite changes, the drug should be removed.
  16. All NSAIDs can cause bleeding ulcers. Deramaxx is known for causing life threatening bleeding. Talk to your vet!
  17. Sending my sympathy Thank goodness she found you!
  18. Sending my sympathy. What a beautiful angel Run like the wind pretty girl
  19. Sending my sympathy Please take comfort in the fact he didn't suffer. It's a blessing unrealized for a time, then appreciated when the grief subsides. Such a handsome angel boy
