  1. sounds like she is not too bad yet, but she definitely needs more supplements! Amanda (Guinness)'s spine test is good to check for LS. If she starts having more problems, acupuncture and Adequan injections have really helped Sugar, but she didn't start having major problems until she was almost 12.
  2. I had been wondering how he was, thanks for the update.
  3. thanks for the update! I am glad top hear Grace is feeling better.
  4. pictures as requested: I am really a space alien artsy-fartsy
  5. Sugar has arthritis which has gotten very bad in the last 4-5 months, and at 12, her back end is weak. She is on pain meds, but acupuncture and now adequan have made a huge difference! I could probably give her the shot myself, but if that's all we are in for, I don't get charged for a visit, just the shot. I love my vet
  6. Sometimes (not always) Bactine spray works for Sugar. She will take a tiny scrape and lick it into a major hot spot, and the Bactine numbs it, disinfects it (a little), and she doesn't seem to care for the taste. Good Luck!
  7. I don't know about giving them myself I could try, but I only live about 5 minutes away from my vet, so I'll probably take the easy way out
  8. The first one seemed to help, so we went for a second one and wow! She has really improved! She was stretching this morning, and has been doing abreviated zoomies in the back yard I know it doesn't work for everyone, and I was prepared for that, but I am so glad it is helping her
  9. poor boy! I hope your vet can get him fixed up and stop his bleeding. I would be freaking out
  10. yes, liver sausage, stinky cheese, or going in the opposite direction, vanilla Ensure, cottage cheese (channeling my PA Dutch grandmother) Eat, Eat, a little something to tide you over until dinner...
  11. oh wow I am so glad the surgery is over and the tumor is out! for a good biopsy report and for a smooth recovery
  12. are you sure she would have to be sedated for the xrays? Sugar never is, she wasn't even sedated for her ultrasounds Feet can be very painful and take longer to heal than you might expect, but I think I would have the xrays done. That's just me, though, I'd rather know.
  13. Fletcher was very excited when I opened his box! He can't decide which toy to play with first This dog ALWAYS has a toy in his mouth, except when he's eating Mom likes her prezzies too! Oh, and the pill bone? priceless
