    I'm hoping things will be back to normal soon and Beau will be just fine. I have to tell you, when I first read the title of your post, I was horrified. I thought Beau's leg was left at the vet. Geez. I need new glasses.

    Don't know. No. Gidge has been fighting them for about 2 years now. We take her once a month to have them hulled. She went from having them on two feet to all four. Amazingly enough, this past month we went 6 weeks instead of 4 and she actually seems to be getting better.

    There is a show called After the Catch and they discussed the possibility of the Coast Guard picking him up. I guess I assumed they did. My bad.

    I've been watching Deadliest Catch (about fishermen in the Bering Sea) and there was an episode where the Coast Guard had to med evac one of the captains who was ill. Who knows, Jeff, we may see you on the tube!!!

    I do, too. I love the lanoline and it makes Gidge's black fur shine. It's a bugger to rinse off, though.

    Try cat food. Freddie would eat that fairly well. We also got stew beef and he would eat a little sometimes.

    Gidge gets fish oil or flax oil capsules every day. We also add a little fish to her morning meal - sardines or salmon or jack mackerel (stinks) or tuna. PetCo sells a shampoo called NovaPearls. It is wonderful. It has lanolin in it and is for very dry skin.
