    I have one of each. The male is super laid back and the female is a little anxious once in a while in certain situations. The female is a total love bug where the male is more quiet with his affection. Our boy bonded with my husband while the girl is my baby. But they both love each of us. But I guess they all are different.

    We are in our 9th month of having Sidney and June... A few days ago Sidney FINALLY decided he didn't want to go in his crate at the end of the night. So I am happy to say I think we are finally passed the crates! We are leaving them out for now where they are during the day and at night. If all stays well, we will be collapsing them up and putting them away in the attic.

    I maybe need to start freezing them... June, especially can lick the inside of one clean in minutes. She's such a little mooch!

    We actually ONLY put peanut butter in our Kongs. But we don't use them to crate them either... they go in just by saying "crate". There was a week or 2 where June suddenly didn't want to go in her crate anymore. We would coax her in and gave her lots of praise. She hasn't minded at all since.

    I was adamant about coats on the dogs below 40 at first. June seems fine with coats... Sidney seems annoyed. Now if it's a quick potty break I let it go and let them out without the coats. Tonight it's 16 here... I'll probably put the coats on for their 10 PM potty break.

    Great news! Thx for the update! We all worry when a hound goes in for surgery on here. Hopefully he will realize he's not in pain anymore and will begin to walk normal again.

    Wanted to update you all... I've been doing the fist approach. Seems to be working well. I wait until she gently is nosing/sniffing my hand before I open it. And she's been gently taking the treat. Thanks for the great advice gang! Always good advice here

    Our June is a little "ferocious" when taking treats from you. She goes at them almost in a frenzy and ends up biting fingers a lot of times. I'm not really sure how to deal with this since usually you use treats for a lot of training LOL Any ideas?
