I am so sorry for your loss! I adored the pictures you took of her; she had a special style and charisma that shone through all those photographs. Please accept my sincere condolences.
  4. Does he need to pee? I get the 1 am pacing from time to time and a quick pee break seems to solve the problem.
  5. Visible results in a greyhound? is that even possible? If it enhances current functioning then I would expect more creative roaching positions, perhaps.
  6. I just looked up the product insert for Adequan. It says it is to be given as an intramuscular injection twice weekly. I think it would be best to clarify this with the vet and get a lesson about intramuscular injection technique if needed
  7. I am an RN. I would suggest a 25 gauge 5/8" needle. That would be plenty long enough considering that greyhound skin is thin and they don't have a lot of subcutaenous fat either. What is the preferred location for such an injection? The back of the neck or shoulder? These seem to be the easiest places to properly pick up a pocket of skin to ensure the injection actually winds up in the space under the skin.
  8. There are 3 whippets in my neighbourhood. All are delightful, if you like exuberant, high energy dogs, but they seem to be a handful to train and manage. I love my calm, regal, friendly greyhound!
  9. May all the blessings you have conferred on this dog be returned to you a hundredfold! Coopernikis is gorgeous. Please give him some ear rubs from me. edited for spelling
  10. Please accept my sincere condolences. We are all going to miss seeing pictures of Tibbie. She was one of the cutest and sweetest.
  11. Yep, she looks completely at peace in your home. What a sweet and pretty hound! Congrats!
  12. Gentle scritches to your hounds! One woman angrily yelled at me "that dog needs some steak!" as she flew by on her bike. No chance for education there! I hope your sign is taken seriously and your concerned neighbours allow themselves to be educated. Maybe you could add some pictures of healthy greyhounds so they could compare. I think there was a picture of a genuinely underweight greyhound somewhere on this site - now that was truly heartbreaking!
  13. Wow. Just shows how sensitive and emotional they can be. I am glad things are back to normal and I hope they have a long and loving time with you both. Welcome to the club!
  14. Ditto re shedding - It's like a second spring shed! Silky usually blows her coat in March and August but this time it seems very copious with more flaking. Missing Link seems to help the dryness.
