  1. I am sending up many prayers for Magic for a good report from the vet that it is nothing serious. No advice, but lots of hugs for you and Magic. Hang in there you little Greybaby Magic. Keep us posted. :grouphug
  2. Hi lotsofgreysmom, keep hanging in there. I know what you are feeling. Sometimes we feel hopeless and frustrated because we just cant figure it out and the situation seems so scary. Sending prayers up to you for an answer and good advice from your vet. :grouphug Hoping your girl becomes her happy old self again!
  3. Oh I am so sorry dear Choo Choo. My prayers are going up for you and Choo. :grouphug
  4. She has mild arthritis in two small spots - one on lower front of knee, and one behind knee. Vet put her on Carprofen/Vetprofen - 100 mg - 1/2 tablet twice daily. Plus Dasuquin daily. THank you all again for your prayers.
  5. I am so so sorry you lost your sweet Opie. A beautiful story how Opie found love and comfort with you. You were blessed to have had Opie in your life. Run free sweet Opie.
  6. Prayers up for Ryder. My Angel had arthritis at age 6 which was seen through X-Rays. My Bella goes in Monday morning for X-Rays as I have notice her limping for a few days now and she favors the leg. Keep us posted please. Ryder is such a handsome boy!
  7. You all are wonderful. Thank you so much. Late last night she asked to go out to do her "night time wee wee". She favored the leg going down the steps of the deck to the yard. She did a little tiny run and came back. When she walks, she favors the leg for the first several steps. Her most trying times are getting up from laying down. I was glad she was able to get up on "her" bed last night - the queen size bed in the guest room. Althought I dont know that guests will ever be welcome on "her" bed. This morning, she went out and did well, althoug still favoring the leg. SHe does not whine, but she does not have the jumping spirit of hers. Thank you for your continued prayers. She has never had any issues before, just check-ups for questionable things that turned out ok. SHe will be 8 years young in July. I need her at least another 8 years!
  8. I am sooooo very sorry to hear about your dear Charlie. My heart breaks with you and your family. My prayers are with you.
  9. She has been limping off her back left leg. Today it has gotten worse. She has a vet appt. Monday morning at 9am. Please keep her in your prayers that it is just arthritis. She is not as spry as normal. Spirit is not the same as I know she hurts.
  10. I am so sorry your lost your baby girl, Bella. Run free sweet wonderful girl.
  11. I just took off the bed comfortor, and put on a very large quilt for her to lay on. On top of the quilt, I put a twin size blanket and a sheet that she likes to nestle into a long pillow that she can lay against to prop up her upper body. She has three big orthopedic dog beds in the house all with blankets on top so she can nestle them into long pillows. That is Bella. She spends 80% on her queen size bed in the guest room looking out the window that is right next to "her" bed.
  12. Dont ignor Bo. Your bonding and his feeling comfortable and loved by you is very important. My Greys have always been on the bed with me from day one. I dont think that has anything to do with the SA. I would let him on the bed with you. I would not with hold the affection.
  13. Pooor baby. Special loves and treats to him. I hope he heals soon and can enjoy life more with zoomies and runs.
  14. So sorry Chase is going through this. My girls have had this type of bloody and very stinky D many times over the years. But it always went away after a couple of days. I think they may have gotten it from something off the ground, another dog, or something. They have asked to go out on the hour all night long a few times in the past years as well. At the vet, they were ok, but the suspicion was a temporary disruption in their systems. Sorry that sounds so vague. I never had major concern. That is only my story. But the description you gave is the same experience I have had. Now my girls, (just Bella now) have not had that in like three years now. Prayers up for you and Chase
  15. Run free sweet Izzy - you handsome boy.
  16. Alicia, I think I would let Augie keep the stuffy and blanket of Ava's. It is a comfort to him and the closest thing he has of her. I had to have Angels stuffy with me in bed when she passed. Dont think I am wierd. It may be that her presense is real to him in her bed.
  17. Oh my dear Alicia, I am so broken to hear you lost your sweet sassy Ava. I feel so fortunate to have a special picture of her and Augie that you sent to me in your condolense card. I still keep it on Angel's memorial table. Right now I have it in front of me and am giving Ava kisses goodbye and asking her to take good care of mommy and daddy and Augie. What a sweet picture. She was a real Black Beauty like my Ange. Now our two Black Beauties are runnig together. Your pain cannot be measured - I know - as your wonderfu Ava is not there by your side now. May you feel her watching over you and loving you from Heaven. I am so sorry Alicia. Run free you sweet beautiful girl, run free Ava.
  18. Your pictures of Will thouched my heart. I can see you gave him such a wonderful sweet life - and he gave you such a loving sweet life. Run free sweet little Will, Run free you sweet boy!!
  19. I am glad we all know we are talking about dogs and not "females"!! Because one could take this statement and run with it!!!!! :rofl :rofl
  20. They HAVE to be sisters!! Everything about them looks identical. Such beautiful pics - some of the most woderful I have seen! I wish I could download them to my computer and put them on my screen. Thank you for sharing them. They look like my girl who crossed over not too long ago!! Take wonderful care of those beautiful girls. I am a little jealous. Beautiful girls.
  21. I have had a few failures in my time as well. All the failures were due to extreme incompatibility with my other Greyhounds. However, they all went to wonderful homes. One girl who tried to completely dominate my other two girls did well in a home with ONLY boy Greyhounds. She did not like the competition of girls. The boys let her do what ever she wanted. When she was at my house, It was so bad, that even in the middle of the night, she would jump into my girls' beds while they were in them to try to kick them out of their beds. She pooped everywhere (even though she was completely house trained) and even in her crate. I finally had to put her in a crate when I left the house - but my other girls were free. I think she hated that. She would rock her crate all over the kitchen and pooped in her crate. She was a rascal.
  22. If you have to use an e-collar, use the soft flexible ones. My girls do very well with them. And they are not so huge either. Just enough to prohibit licking.
