  1. Cofax, you are so beautiful. We are keeping you close and in our prayers for an uneventful surgery and a thorough recovery.
  2. Hi everyone. I am asking a question for Cofax....... she likes to go downstairs with us when we watch movies, etc. If they have to take her right front leg - will she be able to do a full set of stairs? Goofy hubby said do they have those chair masters for dogs like they do for people who can't do stairs?? We're all trying to keep some kind of sense of humor....... Cofax even roached today for the first time in over a week! Thank you everyone for all your thoughts wishes and prayers - they must be working.
  3. I am so sorry. Words seem so inadequate, I wish there was something more that I could do for Cofax. And for you guys.
  4. I, too, was worried that this was going to be the dx for Cofax. %$#&&*%% I'm keeping Tina, her DH, and Miss Cofax in my prayers.
  5. I am so sorry, what a sweet pup.
  6. Zeke-aroni and LadyBug suffer from T'storm phobia, too, as well as from the neighbors' back-firing lawnmower, omg. They have found that the bathroom is their den: LadyBug on a rug under the sink (no cabinet) and Zeke-aroni in the bath tub. We keep on hand Rescue Remedy and Benadryl. I leave Janet Marlow's CD "ZenDog" playing softly, or louder, depending. It's hard to watch them be so afraid but as others have said, you can't coddle them, which would enable the behavior. Our neighborhood fireworks seem to need no occasion ... summers can be very long Good luck!

    Gryffin

I am so sorry that Gryffin had to leave. I love the spelling of his name. You have wonderful memories that, in time, will help to keep him close to you. Hugs.
  8. We hate it right along with you. %* Soak up every tail wag that boy is giving you, and enjoy being in every moment with him. You should take greyt comfort knowing that he knows how much he is loved, and, you gave him that chance.
  9. What a beautiful, beautiful girl. Thank you for loving a senior dog. You have such loving memories to keep Souza close.
  10. Oh, Beth, I'm so glad to hear that Peanut did so well with her first chiro adjustment today. My Great Dane, and my horses, received chiro, along with acupuncture and massage. It either works or it doesn't, there is no placebo effect, and no patient saying "ooh, that feels good" when it really doesn't. A strained bicep tendon should resolve. Good girl, Peanut. Yeah, that set-up definitely makes me want to sign up for a few treatments Hugs,
  11. Years ago, my Dane had stenosis. We kept him going with acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage therapy. Currently, Pal receives a depo injection every 6 weeks because of a nerve impingement over his hip. He also gets two Tramadol BID, and more as needed. We have kept him comfortable for two years now with this plan. Good luck with BooBoo.
  12. My heart is breaking for you. So sad. Godspeed, sweet Maggie.
  13. What wonderful lives you shared, those beautiful memories will keep Pablo close to you. Godspeed Pablo.
  14. Tramadol is for pain control, it doesn't contain the anti-inflammatory properties that Deramaxx has.
  15. I'm so very sorry for your loss. It sounds as tho Dessi's last day was filled with all of her favorite things, and I hope you will find a bit of comfort in that. Godspeed, Dessi.

  18. Tears of joy and relief here, Beth. Finally some good news. Love you, Peanut

  20. We are keeping Peanut, Beth, and Pete close in our thoughts today.
