  1. It sounds as tho Buddy had a thorough exam and by a vet who listens and doesn't dismiss the owner concerns. That vet is a keeper! You're doing all "the things" and Buddy is in good hands. FWIW, Punkin has moved most "breakfasts" to "brunch" and we work from Seamie's List throughout the day to try to get enough noms into her. Once she's up and about and ready for brunch, usually the rest of the day goes well (usually). Buddy, it's noms!! We'll channel Cletus to guide you in the art of hoovering There's a good boy
  2. Today we went to a fall Harvest Fest a few towns away. We do not know this person. This is what she does. All.Day.Long. AnnIE I’m Embarrassing
  3. That girl is rewriting the medical journals! You show ‘em, Willa! Doooolin
  4. Such good dog peeps, Buddy is lucky to be with you! Chris posted as I was typing much of what she suggested. I'm glad that Buddy is being seen tomorrow, hopefully a CBC and a good going-over can shed light on what may be going on. FWIW, we have had excellent results with the prescribed appetite stim "Entyce." To encourage weight gain, canned puppy food can do wonders. A good canned food, warmed, can often spark an interest. You can pulverize his kibble and add anything and everything to it. That you are seeing Buddy tired is an important observation and I really, really hope that Buddy is just having a spell and you have many more good times together. Buddy eta, when Punkin thinks that she wants something other than what's in her dish, I walk away and ignore her whilst keeping "the eye in the back of my head" on her. I can often hear her sigh as she proceeds to clean her plate
  5. Aww, thank you AnnIE is doing well, phew. She’s been eating *really* soaked kibble with canned noms and ricotta, plusalso dehydrated chikken pieces (Punkin is sharing her supply of chikken lol). Very minimal bleeding and she slept thru the night, unlike mom She’s still pretty loopy but I see that gradually dissipating. 👍 Punkin has been advising AnnIE as to how overrated toofers are Derpy morning
  6. @Ducky, thank you re pills vs injectable (brain freeze, sigh).
  7. What an adorable boy! If he were mine, I'd have him into the vet asap before the redness escalates further. From the pics, it appears that the redness has gone beyond the foot and up to at least the ankle. For allergies, in the States we have Apoquel injectable, I don't know if it or similar is available where you are. Good luck!
  8. Wordle Spoiler: As a rule I don’t use double letters in the first go but it was all I could come up with this morning. How appropriate 🦷 AnnIE
  9. Thank you all for baknforfing! AnnIE is now enjoying all the attention she’s receiving at the clinic
  10. Thanks Ducky (and congrats on Leelah ). We’ll leave at o’dark o’early o’clock for 715-730a drop off.
  11. In one sleep AnnIE is having a dental and could potentially lose several teeth that seem to be bothering her. I don’t have the heart tonight to tell her. Update: AnnIE's tech just called and we can pick up our girl in a few hours. She lost only 4-5 toofers, did well and is recovering in her kennel. I can't wait to have AnnIE home. Thank you all for baknforfing for us! Such welcome strength in numbers and warm support I have to say, it is Very strange here with just one hound. That hasn't happened since 2002 with Pal, pre-Segugio.
  12. Are you sure that Gracie hasn't just been hiding behind the couch or elsewhere in your home? Because she has settled in as though she has always been there! Thank you, you guys are the best for doing what you do Gracie: This hooman is mine
  13. These campers That pic wasn’t the best representation but the leaves have really started turning!
  14. It was eggsausting And very pretty! It’s Autumn 🍂 !
  15. WTG Wiki! I’ll bet your puppers are wild an crazy too, just like their momma!
  16. Results: Bacteria seen with free catch was contamination, there is no infection. Normal bladder and kidneys. Blood work all WNL. No treatment is necessary. Yay Punkin! Phew. Thanks again for all the baknforfing!
  17. Doing her best Paddy Mayhem, AnnIE wants you to know that there is nothing cushy about those tiles. Rock hard. Punkin (and her mom) want you to know how much your support means to us
  18. It doesn't as tho Rea is exhibiting separation anxiety per se, if while you are away she is quiet and non-destructive. Do you have or can you set up a camera to witness her behavior? I'm no expert by any means, but from what you've told us I'm not convinced that Rea yet needs medication. *I* would try getting her out first thing for a quick P/P (heaps of praise when she goes, but don't frighten her with your enthusiasm lol); breakfast; let her rest while you get ready, then take her out again and give yourself extra time so that you aren't rushed and thinking that she needs to hurry because you'll be late for work. If she doesn't go, bring her right back in. Go home at lunch and see if she will willingly go out (and see if she has soiled her crate in the four hours since you left). If she's P/P twice in the morning, she may actually not have to go again until you get home. at the end of the day Do the same when you get home from work. In spite of your frustration, it is very important to keep a sing-song happy attitude with her because a hound will pick up on our anxiety asap and shut right down. Take your time with her, try hard not to rush her, and sing praises when she gives you what you're looking for. I've always attached a word to what I want, eg "Go wee" or "Go poop." An alternative to a crate can be an X-pen set up in the kitchen (easy to clean floor) with her bed, a toy and soft music.
  19. What is your girl's name and how old is she? A month in the life of a newly-retired racer is no time at all. Everything is new to her. There are numerous threads here regarding new hounds and their adjustments. You're right, once a day turnout is not enough. When she's out in the yard, is she on-leash? Also, please reach out to your adoption group for help.
