  1. There's a Dr. Seuss rhyme in here somewhere, but I'm sure those who are better at that than I am will chime in now that the idea has been planted.
  2. A rare coat and blanket day. (Yes, the heat is on too.) They are calling for 2 feet of snow in the mountains to our north so we are getting the cold air and dampness.
  3. I'm going to reply to this to try and bump it up for more visibility. In both cases it sounds like one of them was startled so the reaction is somewhat normal. Hopefully some of the long-time multi-dog households can offer some advice. At a minimum I would probably muzzle both until they work out their territory issues.
  4. Hello from Peoria. Greyhound puppies are called Land Sharks. You have one adorable Land Shark there.
  5. Sorry to see you are dealing with this. I will second the suggestion of Dr. Cuoto above if you think that you need a second opinion. He ran the Greyhound Medical Program at Ohio State for years and will work directly with the vets treating your hound. The first week after an amp can be rough for all, so your pup is in the right place if there are complications. Paws crossed here for your pup. Please keep us updated.
  6. I think Snickers now has a marker that she can call in when needed.
  7. I accused her of paying Snickers to whine from the bedroom...
  8. I have a muffin with my coffee most mornings. LaVida stays close and tries to snag the muffin wrapper if I forget and leave it sitting next to my chair. This morning, Snickers started whining from the bedroom, so I went in to see what was going on. I was gone less than a minute. That's all it took. What I saw when I walked back into the living room. She wouldn't look at me when I was talking to her.
  9. She was apparently stalking me this morning. I couldn't find her after I got up. She had jumped into my nice warm spot on our bed and nestled herself into the covers as soon as I left the room.
  10. Snickers is here hanging out this evening. It's been about 6 months since she has been here as we were pretty full up while Stella was here. Snickers was here for all of about a half hour this evening before we found her in her favorite spot... The guest bed that has a 4 inch thick memory foam topper on it. We never spoil them
  11. Maybe there's something left over from Little Jimmy Dickens. They should all be about the same height.
  12. Maybe you should take them over to one of those shops on Music Row where the Opry folks get their clothes. I can see Doolin in sequins now....
  13. She is so adorable. I guess when there are no slippers available to rest your head on you use the next best thing....
  14. Happt Birthday, Wiki Mark and LaVida want to know what this "acting your age" thing is all about?
  15. What a handsome dude! Looking good, Mooney!
  16. Rocket had something similar but on the outer part of his rear leg/hip area. It turned out to be a fairly large and deep benign fatty tumor of some kind, which isn't all that unusual. The only way to know for sure is a vet check. If I'm remembering correctly though, there was no sense in doing a biopsy or aspirating it with a needle because it would be possible to miss any cancerous part if only taking a small sample. We had it removed at the same time that he had a dental and the pathology came back as completely benign. Good luck and keep us posted.
  17. Tell Annie that everyone at Camp Broodie is allowed to sleep as late as they want. Mark not only does that, but he is more of a Brunch Guy than a Breakfast Guy most days. We eagerly await her arrival.

  19. So, where did you find one? Have casually watched for one but never found it in stock anywhere.
