  1. Also, sometimes stress, such as adoption, can "wake up" tick borne disease. Phoenix was the same as your dog, but he didn't have energy, either. Turned out that he had babesia, which is treatable. Did your dog have a tick panel completed by the adoption group?
  2. Oh no, I'm so very, very sorry for your loss? Please give my best to Johanna. You are both in my thoughts

  5. Oh Kyle, my heart just dropped to my feet. I am so very, very sorry. I will miss Charlie so much. Take comfort in knowing that he will be met at the bridge by so many, including his half bro, Phene. My dad will take good care of him.

  14. Mary, I'm so glad he's home! Congratulations! He's beautiful!
  15. I just saw this. I'm thrilled about the great news!!
  16. Treasure did nothing during six weeks of obedience school. She graduated because the teacher said, "Treasure, look beautiful". A few years GT's maximum (Lisa) and I took Max and Phoenix to a click for tricks class. Every week Max and Phene would start to whine and rest their heads on each other. The teacher would say, "The greyhouds are done" In two weeks my very scared galgo, Iker, is starting obedience school. I've enrolled him in a class limited to four dogs, including him. Hopefully we'll have some success with socialization.
  17. You've painted such a vivid portrait of a hound her loved her life and loved her people. I can just begin to imagine the voide she must've left.
  18. Sonya! My friend, it's good to see you! I'm still here and I still don't have a life what's up with you?
  19. I really recommend you go with the tick testing and the meds. Tick disease aren't unusual in greyhounds and they can have awful consequences.
