  1. Sending more prayers for your boy. Neko, please pull through. So many people are loving on you and praying for you.
  2. Sending gentle hugs. I honestly feel it is an honor and a gift to hold them at the end but it comes with enormous cost.
  3. That whiff of something really speaks volumes to those who know what it means.
  4. Not a typo. With three visits to them in a 12 month period, it is a number I am well aware of. The ER at the teaching hospital where her specialist works has a lower intake of $160 but with all the tests, etc. added in on the invoice it comes out to the same number.
  5. Aquitaine had this a couple of weeks ago. 3 am UWS is very quiet. I knew when I heard the gurgle the night before and a whiff of...something that we would have a middle of the night walk. Something is definitely going around. It only lasted a day or so. Hope Bella feels better soon.
  6. I can make you feel even better about what you are paying ... walk in cost for emergency clinic here is $1,550. That's just to be seen.
  7. I hope today brings some (good) answers for you and handsome Neko.
  8. I have 24 PetWatch and they have been wonderful on both dogs that I have had covered by them. I have the QuickCare Gold. However, having read about Healthy Paws on the H&M thread, they may well be my choice for my next pup.
  9. I have been following your thread in H&M and hoped for a better outcome for all of you. I am so very sorry that Spencer had to leave you. Godpseed, Spencer.
  10. I am so very sorry. Run free, JuJu.
  11. I am so very sorry for your loss. What a gift to get 11+ years with your beautiful girl. Run free, Tasha.
  12. I am so very sorry. Run free, Walli.
  13. I am so very sorry for your losses. Run free, sweet pups.
  14. Hoping that you get a better idea of what is going on with your gorgeous boy.
  15. Keeping Neko in my thoughts and prayers. You are such a great mom to him.
  16. I would love to do walks with the NYC people. The woman who originally started the MeetUp group did arrange it as walks and visits in a playground in Central Park (the Pinetum). When she moved to Connecticut, the group changed to the dog runs. She does bring her guys in every so often and we walk with them. We have gone to Grapehounds together a couple of times. My girl missing seeing other greys. She will drag me across intersections if she sees them on the street! We live up by the Planetarium so there is that small park and I feel pretty confident saying that we could take over the small run for a muzzled play-group. Sorry, I've rebuilt two dogs from unprovoked dog run injuries and I just won't do it again. Anyone in the area feel free to PM me if you want to arrange a walk/meeting.
  17. Many good thoughts for Jimmie coming your way. Only good thoughts.
  18. Just reading this now. So glad they didn't see anything in the films. Hopefully, just a little over exertion.
  19. Welcome! I am also in NYC with the lovely Aquitaine. She would love to do Central Park walks with other houndies. We don't do the greyhound meet-up group anymore because of the unmuzzled, mixed breed play times. I know Sarabz does those and has a great time.
