This may be more directed to the OP, but since I shared my story, I want to say that Franny is not an unhappy dog by any means. Even when I have fosters or dog sit she still prefers to hang by herself. This is her personality, she is not unhappy. There are plenty of times she comes out for some attention. When she's had enough she goes to lay down. This is just the way she is.

Fonzie sounds a lot like Franny and she is not a spook at all. She is very laid back and likes to spend 99% of her time sleeping on her bed in our bedroom. It's very rare that she comes out and actually hangs out with the family. That is just her personality and we accept that with her. She has been like that the whole 2 1/2 years we have had her. She is more social and outgoing when we are at Meet and Greets. She loves to go up to people for pets and lovin, but at home she is a different dog. She likes to just hang out by herself.

I'm glad he's doing better.

Out of the three that I have had, Rusty was the only one to have his.

Rusty had allergies that would flare about this time of the year. He would lick his paws to the point where the fur would be gone. The vet prescribed a spray for his itchiness. I could usually catch when the allergies would start and then spray his feet right away.

I don't know what test was done. All I know is what my MIL told me and she said that "Lexie was tested" and she was allergic to those items I listed. So maybe she's not as allergic as we think?

Kim and Bruce, I am so sorry. Take comfort knowing that you did everything that you could and that he is with his Rainey now.

My in-laws have a puppy (beagle mix) that was just diagnosed with certain food allergies. She has been tested and is allergic to Barley, Corn, Peas, Potatoes, Pork and Salmon so far. Does anyone have suggestions as to what kind of dog food they could try? I did suggest that they may want to look into feeding her a raw diet, but I think they will want to explore other dry options first.

I came home to a muzzle like that once. Not sure why it got chewed up since it was never used on the boy. I just had it sitting out.

I believe it is a histiocytoma. Franny had one too. It did eventuallu burst/bleed and then it was gone. This is what her's looked like. I never did take her to the vet for it since it went away on its own.

Aww, nice puppers. I love Sarasota. Some day, I will live there. We were in Siesta Key two years ago for vacation and ran into a couple walking their two greys. I was so happy to get my greyhound fix while I was there.

We have had Franny for over two years and we hardly see her. She spends most of her time on her bed in our bedroom, even though she has a bed in the living room too. This is just her personality. She loves us and attention, but it's more on her terms. This is how we accept her.

I think this is what I bought. They are about 4-5 inches long, with the white marrow in the middle.

Are these ok for the dogs to eat as a treat like turkey necks? I bought a couple for Franny since they were available and I just want to check with all of the knowledgable people of GT.
