  1. Such a beautiful girl. I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye.
  2. There is no reason for her to sleep outside of your room. Until housetraining has been firmly established if you want to control access to the rest of the house put up a babygate by your bedroom door. What I would not do yet is let her sleep in your bed, if you let her do this at all. That is where behavior issues seem to show up. Just make sure she has a bed in your room that she knows is for her.
  3. Sobesmom had the same thing happen to her Diana. She posted about it just recently.
  4. Both sound like a good choice. I hope they help her.
  5. Checking in to see how you and Shelby are doing.
  6. Super healing thoughts and white light for Twiggy and good thoughts for you that a new and better job is waiting for you.
  7. Normally Nadir would eagerly eat the honey when I offered it to him, but if he was feeling really bad he would refuse it. At those, times I Normally Nadir would eagerly eat the honey when I offered it to him, but if he was feeling really bad he would refuse it. At those, times I would put some on my fingers and rub it along his cheek to get him to eat it. Once I got some in him, usually a tablespoon or so worth, he would improve.
  8. I would try to get one with an MGO rating of at least 250. The one I used for Nadir was a 400.
  9. The way you describe the noisy stomach rumbling and diarrhea I would go ahead and get the Manuka honey. It not only helped with the diarrhea, but was very good at quieting and settling Nadir's stomach when it was like that. Edited to add link about Manuka honey. http://www.m.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/manuka-honey-medicinal-uses
  10. Yes. I would give the Slippery Elm a try first because it is so inexpensive.
  11. A couple things you could try that have worked for me. A bit of manuka honey, a 1/2 tsp was usually enough to stimulate Nadir's appetite numerous times when he would stop eating. The other thing to try is Slippery Elm Bark, which will coat and soothe the stomach and also the esophagus as it goes down.
  12. Hi Soy, my boy Chase also had some back end weakness and spinal pain issues this year. He too was put on Ligaplex II, but what has really helped him is a chinese herbal called Body Sore, that the vet orders through Jing Tang.
  13. Welcome back! I recognized your GT name right away. Shelby's age is incredible. Every day is truly precious when they get to that age. Edited to add I reread your post, specifically the last sentence. You've come to the right place for support.
  14. I prepare Chase's with his food. I add 1/2 Tbsp each of carrots and beets to 6 oz. of his kibble then add 2-1/3 cups of boiling water and let sit about 45 minutes. I then add his Longevity, Skin & Coat oil and other supplements and stir.
  15. Your girl is beautiful. I'm so sorry that you are having to say goodbye to her. I hope you can find comfort, as others have said, in knowing you are making the most loving sacrifice letting her go. My thoughts will be with you.
  16. Thank you Ducky for getting this girl away from that hell hole she was in.
