As for me i didnt have any hand cuts so i feel relieved after talking to you guys but i still will check with vet. we were suppose to bring lexie to a nursing home today. she is a thereapy dogs, but I won't to be safe till I talk to the vet. I hope she doesn't have to be quarrentined at home cause next week were were planning on going away next week and taking her to a kennel but I guess if we can't we can always go another time. I have had enough worry for the weekend. I am afraid to step out of the house now...rofl. Oh yea plus her b day is wed so if she quarentined we cant take her to the yogurt shop for ice cream...lol

Just let dog out saw her run and raccon stopped showed teeth bit her teeth in a lil by the nose and a small cut under jaw. It bled a little not much. I washed with soap and water. she is up to date on vaccines. i will call vet on monday but is there anything else i should do or watch for? Will she need antibiotics? I can't believe this!! My grey hardly sheds but this past time i brought her to the nursing home when she is with certain people she seems to shed a lot when they pet her. Could she be nervous around certain people? Is that possible for them to shed when nervous or anxious? I have never seen so much hair come off of her and we have had her about a year now.

I have a vet dermatologist. mine gets sunburn. she said to use children's sun screen.

my heart goes out to you. some may think this is weird but when our last dog passed i asked the vet to cut a small peice of her hair with scissors off. I have saved it in a bag and glad I did. It helps to feel her once in awhile.

i used shampoo recommended by my dermotology vet so i know it is gentle. i only bather her 3-4 times a year..when the white part of her is no longer white...lol i will try more petting her.

ask if they make colored ones like for people...lol

no i havent heard of braces but i know a dog dentist that did some work on my doxie's teeth.

we give our grey fish oil everyday and she hardly sheds. lately she has been shedding a lot. when I brush her afterwards, it looks like dandruff all over her hair. Is that from too much brushing? Or, I just bathed her 2 days ago could it be soap? I know I rinsed her good. Or is it just dry skin? Any suggestions? Should I put somethin on her coat?

she recently seen the vet and is in great shape. I think she just takes after me. My husband says I hardly drink anything all day either ..lol

we had a non grey who would puke bile. the vet said give the dog a piece of bread at night. IT worked. won't hurt to try it. the dog was small so i gave like 1/8 of bread so maybe try 1/2 piece for the grey. good luck let us know.

thank u all for the suggestions. I did try vitamin water and that sometimes works. I will try putting kibble in the water bowl. she will probably slurp at that to get to the food. The watered down milk idea sounds good too, and the gatorade. I love this website. I have learned so much. ty all for the great ideas.
