  1. We'll keep our fingers and paws crossed for Lacey
  2. Could there be something in the back yard that's a skin irritant? I think a vet visit is a good idea.
  3. I'm eally sorry for your loss. Godspeed, Maddie.
  4. Glad to hear the pups are OK. Sometimes I think they enjoy driving us nutso...
  5. I think that's 1/2 cup for the whole cake. Probably only a couple of tablespoons per serving.
  6. Whatever it is, I hope you can clear it up quickly. Keep us posted.

    My Quinnie

A special tribute to a clearly special hound. I'm sorry for your loss.

    Gilmore

I'm so very sorry about your loss of Gilmore. I, too, know how much the loss of a special cat can hurt. Time will help more than these meager words.
  9. I hope you hear something very soon so you can start Lacey's treatment. In the meantime, though, it sounds like she's in good spirits.
  10. Nadia has been diagnosed (by a vetrenary cardiologist) with dilated cardiomyopathy and an irregular heart beat. She's on medication (Enalapril, digoxin and diltiazem) which seems to be controlling things fairly well. Honey and Kara are (he said crossing all paired crossable appendages) in good health. All three are eight. Nadia was diagnosed at age 5.

I am so sorry for your loss
  12. Glad to hear you're OK Sir D. Milk the treats for all it's worth
  13. There is no forgetting the really special ones, cat or dog. Cherish his memory and follow your heart.
  14. I use Interceptor, which also prevents round, whip and hook worms, so that's why I give it all year.
  15. Looks like Cerenia is for vomiting and motion sickness. This from the FDA: FDA Approves First Drug To Prevent and Treat Vomiting in Dogs. I'm also surprised they didn't do blood and urine tests.

    Rusty

I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing him through your photos.
  17. Thank you for sharing her with us. She was a beauty. My deepest sympathy.
  18. Your new vet sounds a lot like mine. She knows that greys can be different from other breeds and clearly does her research when she needs to. She's great with my hounds and is very fond of them. I think the 25 minute drive is well worth it.
  19. I'll think of him. He might end up toothless, but I'll bet he'll feel lots better.

    My Quinnie

My sincere sympathy. Thank you for sharing him in pictures.
  21. One thing I've had some results with is CET Hextra chews (made by the same folks that make the tooth paste). My girls like them and they do a decent job of keeping Honey's and Nadia's teeth clean. Kara had awful teeth when I got her as a foster and lost 29 at her dental! A few months later she lost six more. She still enjoys licking her chew I think you should be able to get them from your vet.
  22. I wish I had more to offer than sympathy...
  23. That's why I like this list: Food list
