  1. Outstanding!!!! Hope Scooter is as good as new in no time. Your vet sure seems to be outstanding - not only for her work but for keeping you so well informed.

    Missing My Missy

Words seem so inadequate, so I will just say how very sorry I am.
  3. Sounds like a variation of the "repairman syndrome"... Glad he seems OK. Videoing if it happens again is a great idea.
  4. I'll second what the others have said. Get him to the vet.
  5. You guys have been tthrough a real ordeal, but now it sounds like he's gotten the vet he deserves. Only one of my girls ever needed an e-collar and she hated it. Scared the daylights out of her and she could still reach her wound.
  6. I agree with these posters. Get a copy of the lab results and a second opinion. Greyhound blood values can be different from other breeds. Here's another useful site: http://www.grassmere-animal-hospital.com/greyhounds.htm
  7. The same can be said for root canals and crowns in humans. But if the tooth is otherwise sounds and it's done properly, a crown will last a good long time. Ediited because I still can't type.
  8. I need a cocktail, Fenway needs the tranques.... Good lord, I just had to put his leash on him in the house, he just ran over Grace like she was a speed bump. Maybe I should now move this to "Cute and Funny" as Fenway is clearly feeling better, or better yet, I could move it to "Neurotic and Wacky". When it comes to our dogs, it's hard to tell sometimes, isn't it?
  9. I'm so very sorry. Godspeed Della.

    Caesar

I'm sorry for your loss... and grateful for the glimpse of Caesar in your tribute
  11. Kara is missing one of her canines (also because of a fracture) and she doesn't seem bothered by the missing tooth. Depending on the fracture, root canal may not be an option in any case.
  12. My three usually have fairly mild breath except right after they east. They like that salmon formula, but it does give them a slight case of after meal cat breath.
  13. I'd start with having the vet check her teeth. Even with daily care she could have periodontal disease.
  14. He does look pitiful... but Fenway, at least you got a boot, not a taped up plastic bag.
  15. She lives forever in your heart.
  16. I am so sorry for your loss... a beautiful tribute
  17. Thanks for the update and the detail. It's a bit of a cliche, but knowledge is power. I hope Bodie feels much better very soon.
  18. I agree with LynnM. Since you've got the vet appointment scheduled already, see what your vet says.
