  1. I second trying the Zylkene that grey_dreams suggested. I used it for my slightly spooky girl for a year when I first got her and it seemed to help her. If she were mine, I'd also be giving her extra B vitamins and magnesium, both of which are depleted by stress.

    Sunny

My handsome Sunny - born 5th January 2005 - captured my heart February 2007. He's big, bold, beautiful, cuddly and very funny. I adore him.

    Sophie

My beautiful Sophie - born 5th January 2005 - adopted by me June 2007. She is as sweet and clever as she is beautiful. She chatters, purrs, smiles, roaches and gives hugs. I adore her.

  15. I'm so sorry for your loss of beautiful Wren.
  16. My first greyhound had a partially ruptured tendon which presented itself as a swelling on the tendon and a mild, persistent lameness. My own vets didn't know what it was even after xrays so I consulted a greyhound vet (one of the authors of Care of the Racing and Retired Greyhound) and he told me to leash-walk him for 6 months to allow the tendon to heal. It seemed like an awfully long time (and he was a dog who loved to run!), but the tendon did heal and we had no more problems with it even when he went back to running. Obviously I don't know if your dog has a similar problem, but it may be that there is a soft-tissue injury there which isn't getting sufficient time to heal before being aggravated by running again.
  17. So sorry for your loss of beautiful Asta.
  18. I think it's a good idea for everyone to have a harness in their dog's wardrobe because you never know when you might need one for a neck injury for example. I've got a spook harness for my boy, even though he's not a spook, because he has a history of neck problems, and other harnesses we tried didn't fit very well (we didn't try the WWW one though). I think harnesses are more comfortable for them too especially on long walks.
  19. So sorry for your loss of your beautiful girl.
