  1. So glad she is out of surgery and that everything went well. It's best not to visit her anyway. She would be so happy and excited to see you only to have you leave again. She doesn't understand. This way, it's just one loooooong day for her. Please update when you can.
  2. Oh no- he has been such an inspiration. I am so sorry.
  3. Same here! Glad all is well, I was worried. Us too. I think a wing of the hospital is named after us!!!
  4. Hoping for good news for Sully. Prayers sent your way.
  5. We don't even try during the day and I am home today. She is not a day eater. She has eaten a few zuke cookies which are the size of triscuit cracker.
  6. Hope she does well and I also hope she eats. We are not doing well with the eating even with the anti nausea. it stinks but there aren't any options!
  7. We have a winner. Shredded chicken. She ate a few more cookies and about a cup of shredded chicken. Not greyt, but at least there is something. She's done for now. Hopefully, we will move forward from here. I can tell she is hungry because she will look, smell it, lick it and lay down, and then do it again.
  8. Just heartbreaking. I am so sorry. Just heartbreaking. I am so sorry.
  9. OMG- I am so sorry. What a horrible tragedy. I am so sorry. Run Pain Free beautiful boy.
  10. I'm really trying not to lose it. Deep breaths, count to 10 etc. OK. I'm still stressing. I am at a total loss. She is really out of it. Tired. She doesn't even look like her. She looks like she does when she comes out of anesethesia. This is not too much different than she was when she first got home after the amp which was also right after the chemo. This is very rough. If the carpoblatin (spelling?) is the most benign chemo, I can't imagine how bad a reaction the others are.
  11. They send the leg out for a definitive biopsy so they can determine what chemo protocol to go with. There are several types of cancer that would be reason for amputation, very commonly osteo. Please update when you can. We are all thinking and praying for her. Is there someone 24/7 at the vet?
  12. It's been almost 5 hours since the pill. Polli has eaten 4 burpdog biscuits, a few peanut butter cookies and a few zukes. she took 2 bites of her kibble/chicky breast mix and laid her head down. I still think she is nauseous. I will try again in a while.
  13. Sending loads of prayers that a fix is on the way for Hobbes.
  14. I've been spending more and more time in H&M and I have to say - I don't enjoy it. I hurt for all the pups in pain, scared & sick. I hurt for their humans scared, frustrated and confused. Wouldn't it be nice to log on to GT and have nothing major in Heath & medical? Extra special prayers going out to my Polli and her friends; Ember, Misty, Soul, Hobbes, Grandpa, Bodie, Sully and ALL the other hounds who are sick or hurting. May we all find a way through this.
  15. This poor baby and his poor Mommy. I am so sorry you both have to go through this. Continued prayers for Soul and you too Amber.
  16. I had ordered 3.5 pounds of burpdog biscuits and she had 3. Maybe, just maybe it's priming the pump for later. Stay tuned. Will try "feeding" her in a bit. She doens't like to eat too early. She may be a senior but she is not into the early bird. Got to keep a sense of humor or I will crack.
  17. Um, meet Polli who won't touch the evo venison.
  18. It hasn't worked and it's been several hours. Now what?
  19. DH picked up the Cerenia and gave it to her. Anyone know how long that takes to kick in? He picked up a can of mackerel in water. They had no jack. He also picked up a can of sardines in water. We basically have everything mentioned on the lists except the egg nog (she does not like so many things that I am sure that will be one of them) I will look into buying the dyne when I get home from work.
  20. Oh man, I just saw this. This is terrible and I am so sorry. Loads of prayers for Soul.
  21. Vet is leaving the Cerenia for us. Pray that it works.
  22. We will be thinking of you and sweet Jamaica. The first week is very rough. But before you know it, it will be behind you. One day at a time.
  23. Sending lots of love and prayers for Grandpa.
