  1. We lived along a pond many years back and we had many mallards to watch and feed. One winter it got so cold that some had their feet frozen off. I cry every time I think of it. All are God's creatures and deserving of our respect and love. His eye is on the sparrow. Thank you for caring.

So sorry. These dogs really change our lives and hit our hearts in the most wonderful way.
  3. She had a good and loving family. She would have told you that had she been able to speak. We will miss them always and cry for them, but they deserve it.
  4. It never seems to fail when one thing goes wrong, a lot of other things go wrong at the same time. You are not alone in this and "this too shall pass." Please know that there are many of us who have had to deal with the same types of problems. But you should know that we care and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
  5. We lost two hounds within four months of each other to cancer. Although it is heartbreaking, they taught us so much about living life each moment at a time. Please live in the moment (as they do) and make each moment special (as they do). They teach us so much. We send the warmest and most loving hugs to you each moment.
  6. This is so sad. I'm so sorry.

    Otis

Your post brought me to tears. How sorry I am that you experienced such a sudden loss. But Otis was loved and I know he is smiling at you from the bridge.
  17. I'm so sorry that you are facing this difficult prospect. I've been in your shoes recently and it is heart wrenching. We love them so much and do not want to let them go, but in the end you will know that it was the right thing to do. She knows you love her and would tell you if she could. You will be in my thoughts.
  18. So sorry for your loss. May your pain soon ease and be replaced by the warmth of wonderful memories.
  19. So sorry for your loss. Godspeed Buycut.
  20. So sorry for your sudden loss. May you be comforted by the memories of happier times. Godspeed sweet love.
  21. What a touching tribute to a beautiful girl. So sorry for your loss.
  22. Burpdog is right. One of my females (8 years old) runs a 2.1 creatinine level which is normal for her. I understand your concern. I would also not change food. There are a lot of vets who know greyhounds but still a lot who don't. Do the research first.
  23. Malone was greatly loved and I'm sure he loved you greatly. Thanks for giving him such a loving home. Godspeed, Malone.
  24. So sorry about this sad news. If you don't feel comfortable with the diagnosis and prognosis, you might try getting a second opinion or at least a chest x-ray. If the news is bad, just try to live each moment and enjoy the time you have left. We lost two beloved hounds in four months to cancer and spending each moment with each one as if it was the most special time got us through it all. Best wishes from us to you and know that we are hoping for the best.
