    Barbies Chito

    So sorry. Godspeed sweet Cheeto.
  4. What a sweet tribute to a hound you loved very much. (I lost my first greyhound seven years ago and still cry on the anniversary of his passing.) They really do have a special place in our hearts and they so deserve to be loved and missed.
  5. So sorry for your loss....run free sweet baby.

    Bad Boy Penske

This is so sad. Godspeed little one.
  7. Well, as a professional archaeologist who studied and specialized in the prehistory of the NE USA for over 20 years, dogs were buried along side of many humans in prehistoric cultures. That is the good part. The bad part is that they all died very young (humans and dogs). I've excavated many many dog burials and many of them were modern (in people's back yards as the bulldozers came through to put in that new highway, gas pipeline, etc.). I think that things are much better than they were even as far back as the fifties. But in some places in this country (and in other places in this world), dogs still don't stand much of a chance and are not thought of as something of value. If you saw the latest Oprah show about puppy mills, you will have learned that many people today think of a dog as a beast of burden and would be shocked at the thought of a dog being inside of a house. Although we have come far in placing value in animals, we still have very far to go in some places to catch up.

    Adios Treat

What a wonderful tribute to such a sweet dog. I bet if she knows what you are thinking, she knows how much you miss her. And I bet she would tell you how fortunate she was to have you in her life and that she knows how much you loved her. She will always be with you. Allow yourself to grieve for this loss as she deserves it. Bless you for loving her and taking such good care of her.
  10. I know that this must be awful for you. But please take comfort in the fact that she went in her own home with a family that loved her. May you find peace knowing that she knew that she was loved.

  17. What a beautiful sweet boy. Things just happen so please do not have any regrets or second-guess your decisions. You loved him and gave him your heart and I'm sure if he could have talked, he would have told you so and told you he loved you too.

Run free sweet little girl. And let those who are still here honor you by doing the best they can to get the others home.
  23. What a sweet and loving tribute to your girl. She was truly loved; she was fortunate to have your love and she would probably have told you that had she been able to speak. Godspeed Betsy.
  24. For vomiting AND the big D, eliminate all food first for 24 hours. I suggest allowing them to drink as much Pedialyte as they can. That will replace any fluids they have lost. Then introduce bland foods very slowly and in small amounts. Rice and boiled chicken (no fat) is good to start with for food. We had a virus here with seven dogs sick at one time (one came from the track with it and got the others sick). This helped everyone. This advice came from a trainer. I hope everyone gets well!!!
  25. We use Granulex spray with great success. It's really good for open wounds. Good luck and we hope that Walter heals soon!
