Guest auntiesara
Rosie frightened us yesterday when she was so weak she couldn't even drink water. Her holistic vet wasn't in today, but her associate ,who has a lovely Borzoi saw us. She was surprised that Rosie had recently eaten anything with such bad kidney values. She came out to the minivan with one of the nurses so Rosie would feel comfortable. We adopted Rosie at age two. She came to us with a badly broken rear leg, which she compensated for most of her life. unfortunately it made her life very difficult after she was diagnosed with osteosarcome in the opposite shoulder in Jan. Even though we had Blackie and FaeRae she was frightened at first and spent a lot of time hiding under a rose bush. Rosie felt that she had a lot of responsibilities in the pack. She brought up our mixed breeds, Tina Marie and Tango as if they were her puppies. If Tango got too assertive she would pick her up by her harness. She was second fastest to Sweetie, who had been a very successful racer. Unfortunately the two of them used to chase other dogs the way you see wolves catching prey on nature shows. She came to love her extended family especially her Grandfather. He liked her the best because she never accidentally bit fingers when taking cookies. She is also famous for quietly slealing Grandma's Godiva chocolates and always checking the same place she found them. we know that Blackie, Sweetie, FaeRae, and Piper are wating to help her cross the bridge. After her individual cremation she will be buried with theem in the garden in Vermont. She loved her summer home and used to sit up in the hayfield and look down at the house. We want to thank everyone for their kind thought and special prayers. Sara and Charlie

silverfish
I'm so sorry to hear she had to leave you. It's true, kidney disease is a horrible thing to endure, and you've released her from suffering. We like to keep our beloved dogs with us as long as possible, but as you know there comes a time when it's kinder to help them on their way. It doesn't ease the pain of loss, but you know it's right.
