MerseyGrey
I have a quick question, which I wish I could say I was asking for a friend. Poor Buds has got an upset tummy again, although this is the first time in three months so I’m guessing it’s something he’s snaffled on a walk without me noticing. It has resulted in a messy bottom and has necessitated use of a wet wipe (water based) to clean it up. The question: does anybody else’s dogs’ back legs buckle when they lift their tail up? Or am I the only one partaking in this glamorous task? Quote Buddy Molly 🌈 5/11/10-10/10/
Time4ANap
It may be more of a reflex since they often will squat when they lift their tail to defecate. Maybe picking up the tail makes him squat? MerseyGrey
Aaahhh, I hadn’t thought about it that way. It is quite comical to watch, almost like his tail is a lever. Poor boy Quote Buddy Molly 🌈 5/11/10-10/10/
FiveRoooooers
Aiden often has a dirty bum that wet wipes take care of, and if his tail is lifted too quickly he also has the same reaction. Mind you, Aiden is 12 with multiple health issues but I've seen this in him prior to those, as well as in younger, healthier dogs. Quote Old Dogs are the Best Dogs. Thank you, campers. Jerilyn
I haven't had to wipe Wiki's bum yet but Lila had that reaction. It seemed like a "hey, that's private, get out of there" reaction.
