Intro - Eddie And Milo

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I have been viewing the forum for a couple of months now and thought I ought to just become a member so here I am 😀

I live with my beautiful family, husband and two young boys in the UK. We own two wonderful dogs, a black and white Lurcher (Milo) and a white and black greyhound (Eddie). Milo will be 9 this year and Eddie will be 13 in September so hes beginning to get a little creaky and achey with arthritis, only has four teeth left and has the occasional poo in the house but hes wonderful to put it simply.

Eddie came to us from the Retired Greyhound Trust when he was four years old and his racing career had ended. He has always been a very pleasant big gentle docile dog. Milo came to us at around 9 months old, also rescued from an animal shelter. He was in a terrible state as he had come from Gypsies who had left him tied up in a shed to die. He was so frail and poorly he could only manage five minute walks at a time.

Hes alwyas been frightened of children so goodness knows what the poor lad went through. Hes turned into a beautiful healthy gentle boy who just loves a fuss and to play fetch with his Ball. But mostly loves eating anything the baby throws off his highchair 😂

So thats us. I will try to add some photos of the boys (Dogs) when I figure out how to do it 🤣

Welcome from the foothills of Virginia in the US! Your black-and-white boys must look stunning together. And your two sets of boys -- hound and human -- sound like they enjoy each other. I have a brindle lurcher named Milo, who was brought as a skeletal stray dog into a shelter. He will eat anything that doesn't eat him first. I wonder if our Milos would be like that anyway, or if they remember being so hungry for so long.

There are several pinned threads about how to post pictures -- most people copy from Facebook or use a website such as Flickr that allows third-party sharing.

Thank you everyone.

EllenEveBaz - our Mills Sound very similar don’t they. I think Milo used to occasionally get fed a carcass from time to then but that’s all he get so there’s no wonder he’s greedy now poor lad. I don’t know how some people can be so cruel! If anything he’s a little on the tubby side these days but then old age is setting in and he doesn’t get walked as far as he used to do as it’s hard these days because Eddie can only manage a short walk. I will have to start taking him out for a second walk without Eddie I think before diabetes or something sets in

I’m going to hike for the best here with these Flickr links:
