RedSquare Posted November 23, 2012 Share Posted November 23, 2012 My girl Anna got into a prescription bottle of DES; my husband had the empty bottle filled and I didn't know so I thought she had chewed the empty until the next morning when I saw the receipt for the refill on the counter. She went to the vet for blood-work and we are watching her very carefully, but I am scared to death that she will develop anemia. We are so careful to put things away, I can't believe this happened. We are all feeling guilty and terrible. If anyone has had any experience with this, I'd like to know how you got through it. She seems fine now, but it has only been 48 hours since she ate the tabs. We are checking her eyes and gums every few hours (it's driving her nuts). A friend wondered if she may have vomited the pills outside without us knowing. I am hoping she did. Fingers crossed again.
