fsugrad
It's back. Unfortunately. It started off with a small red spot on his snout. At first I couldn't tell if he'd bumped/scraped his nose while running around in the yard. But then the spot didn't go away and a couple of weeks later, he started getting crusty bumps on his ears again, which is just how it started last time. So as soon as the crusty bumps showed up on his ears, we got him to the vet and started his pred and antibiotic. He's been on his meds for a week and the bumps haven't spread anywhere else. Hopefully this dosage of pred and antibiotic will be enough to stop the spread of this and get him back in remission. fsugrad
poor Robin I guess this is one of those things that is never "cured", just "controlled" . Exactly. The best you can hope for is to stay in remission. He is still his regular, goofy self, and eating well, so at least he's not feeling bad. krissn333
Poor Robin At least you're able to catch it and get him started on meds right away. I go through the same thing with Pinky and her Lupus. We just watch for flare ups and treat as needed (in addition to her daily meds). Same with Sutra and his pancreatitis. Never "cured," just kept at bay.
