One of the beloved dogs at the office, Lonesome (not a grey), got out of the huge fenced area at work (which, except for the highway, is in the middle of nowhere) and was hit and killed on a busy nearby highway. He'd been missing for a day or so, and DH couldn't find him. When he looked this morning, he found his body in a ditch. He came to them as a stray, and he made this facility his home for some 7 years. They also have another stray at work, and I know that just having dogs there made the workday easier. He and his coworkers were so kind to take care of Lonesome, a stray who found his home with them.
