Guest dfriedri
Hello everyone! I want to introduce all of you to my new grey baby Lola! After Star passed away I had been in contact with the local humane society that brings in greyhounds pretty frequently. She asked me if I would want to foster a girl for about a week or so. She was supposed to transfer to Chicago to a waiting family. I agreed because frankly part of what I missed about Star was simply her presence in my apartment. I wanted a dog there again. Anyway, the family called the humane society back and they said that if she ends up finding a good home here than there is no need to transfer her to Chicago. It will be easier on her to keep her here. So Lola is with me on a foster basis but I will be finalizing her adoption later this week. She is only my second grey and I can't believe how different from Star she is. Lola is smaller and so cuddly. She has been with me since Saturday morning and she is my shadow. She clings to me in bed and all around the apartment. I can't seem to get away! (Not that I try too hard!) She is a pig when it comes to food and treats and also likes chew toys. All these things are so different from my sweet, dainty, and proper Star. I'm excited to get to know Lola better and love her for all her unique qualities! I only went 5 days without a dog in the house and I realized I just need a dog in my life!!! Enjoy these pictures of Lola! She is such a pretty girl and they are both on the bed because ever since I invited her up on it I have hardly gotten her down. Oh well!
