December 9, 2009 was a horrible day for me. But I believe if a person can experience tremendous sadness, he or she can also experience great happiness & joy. Sadness can bring happiness, and that's what I have found. Had Macy not passed when she did, I couldn't have devoted over two months to Wilbur's care. Had Wilbur not passed when he did, we wouldn't have even considered bringing Larry here, and this is where he needed to be. He brought me much comfort and gave me focus when I needed it most, and he found in Ollie what he needed most. Had Larry not passed when he did, my home would not have been open for Chevy. And Chevy was born to be here. He's been here almost five weeks, and I almost can't remember a time when he wasn't. He makes me laugh, he's so much fun, he's a love bug to the nth degree, and I just enjoy the heck out of him. However, I couldn't have enjoyed him this much right after Wilbur died---the guilt would have overwhelmed me. So, yes, life as I knew it ended December 9 of last year, but I have new life as I know it. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. When my first greyhound Ginger went to the bridge, my heart was shattered~ she was only 8 /2 but I am so honored, happy, and grateful she was a in my life. She just might have been the greatest teacher, role model, I have ever had! At least we got to love them while they were with us, and we truly carry them in our hearts forever! Special Hugs for you and please give extra Hugs to Ollie and Chevy. When my Irska died back on this dreadful Day on the 21.Dec.2005 my World had crashed . The Pain was so bad.
