  1. I too work long days and always felt bad crating the dogs. Dizzy lasted 2 days crated, she barked constantly so I crossed my fingers and left for work and there now issues at all when I got home that night and she never had an accident in the house. Baylee was another issue, the 1st day her crate was wet, the second day her crate was collapsed when I got home and the third day I zipt tied it together and as I was leaving she was trying to break the crate. I left her out for fear of breaking her teeth. She made out well, she did have urinary issues but that seemed to be related to allergies, once that was resolved she was great in the house. I feel more comfortable knowing that when I am at work the are being good and comfortable. Some dogs need to be crated and others dont. Do what works for your dog.
  2. Happy Birthday Sabrina, Hope you celebrated with your bridge buddies, we all miss you!
  3. Baylee our 6yr. old female is scared of the storms, shakes drools that her chest was soaked, always trying to get in a corner. Tried benadryl, rescue remedy, nothing worked that well. We have a large closet on the first floor of our home, I was shocked to see Baylee curled up in the corner when I returned home from work. We did have a storm that day, she seemed to pretty calm. When we start the storm seasons I always make sure that closet door is open , when I know a storm is predicted I leave the radio on and I also put a dog bed in the closet for her. Seems to work for her!

  10. So sorry for you loss. I sure hope we see all our dogs waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. I had seen a psycic a few years ago and she had said all my dogs were waiting for me, the part that got me was she discribed them and even had the name of one. That gave me hope we will see all our loved ones.

  15. Baylee, she is a 4yr. old female. When we got Baylee, she starting having accidents in the house , and was afraid to got out to relieve herself about 1 month after we adopted her. Had her to the vet for a UTI was given Cephalexin and within 2 days she was doing better, no accidents. Two months later it started all over again. Back to the vet another round of antibiotics and an ultrasound to check for stones. Everything was negative. She has been fine for 1 yr. I noticed 3 wks ago she was starting with the same behavior not wanting to go outside and having a few accidents in the house. Took her back to the vet and showed she has crystals. She needs to go back next week for another ultrasound and needs to start prescription food. Do they have to stay on this food always, because it is expensive. Does anyone know if the is an over the counter dog food comparble to script food, and any other suggestions? Cranberry capsules, filtered water??? Any suggestions/information would be appreciated.
