Guest azlorenz
When I called this am the tech was a bit concerned so Rick went over to see Flash. I think talking with Rick and getting a feel for Flash's personality really helped because by 1:30 PST we had received word that Flash is being released tonight!!!!! I also contacted Dr. Couto and am leaving all the chemo info he forwarded with the surgeon and oncologist. Thank you all so, so very much! I'll post more when we get home. Guest azlorenz
We survived the night. It stormed here last night. Of all nights. Flash is a stormaphobe. He had a very restful night and we've just been out to potty & POOP! I wasn't expecting POOP till tomorrow at least. His incision isn't as bad as I expected. He does have a lot of bruising but all in all not too bad. Now to get him to eat something. We've tried roast beef and chicken so far with no luck. Keep your fingers crossed for today. Thank you all for all the love and support. All of us appreciate it. Shannon
Batmom
So glad he's home and doing well! Could be pain meds and metabolizing anaesthesia are affecting his appetite -- hopefully he'll start eating for you by this evening or tomorrow. HopeForHounds
Glad he'shome Shannon. Come on now Flash eat something. Try his favourite treats, not as nutritious but something in that belly will help settle it down and then he may eat the real food. duncan41
So glad that Flash is home! I'm sure once all the drugs get out of his system, he will feel well enough to start trying a little food. Maybe a Pepcid would help, just in case he's a little queasy? If he won't eat, is he at least drinking a little? I'm sure he was on an IV and was well hydrated during/after surgery. Praying that he perks up soon! Guest azlorenz
Went to the store and bought a ton of stuff. We gave him a smorgasbord of pieces (friend chicken, roasted chicken, liver)around 9am PST. He showed more interest than ever but no deal. Flipped the paper plate in front of him off his bed in one flip of his nose. He is drinking really well is fabulous and peeing and of course pooped once already. Before his next medication time, we're going to see if we can get him to eat something. Wish us luck. I've already warned hubby we may be up at midnight making meatballs if we can't get him to eat.
