Guest tinams8 Posted June 24, 2010 Share Posted June 24, 2010 Well, I said we were waiting until August to adopt, but that got old fast. I don't think I ever posted a real intro yet. I'm Tina, and I have been helping out at an adoption agency while I waited to adopt. Ok, that's enough, let's just get to the pics. Two nights ago, unloading her off the hauler from Alabama. We also picked up two other girls and a boy. Lucy's name is Translucent. She raced in Phoenix and Naples-Fort Myers. http://www.greyhound-data.com/d?i=1616062 In the van on the way back, see how she already has her head in my lap? Goofy blue boy, who would not stop humping the poor girls, who were more than sick of him after a 24-hour drive! I ended up holding him by the collar and facing him out the window so he would calm down. She stayed with the other dogs that night and while I was at work the next day (yesterday). Last night I gave them all baths. Lucy had her first episode of ETS during her bath. Wish I had my camera! Blue boy thought I was spraying him with acid. I brought her home after that was through, about 9:30 last night. She slept in her crate with Sienna on her dog bed next to her. They were good and slept all night until we got up around 6:15. She peed on the rug when she first woke up, which was my fault for not getting her out fast enough. Lucy went outside to check out the yard. this was about as far away from me as she has been since she got home. She even went in the bathroom with me last night but today I made her wait outside. Look at those ears! Lucy's heart. Lucy's bouncy sister arrives: Sienna zooms, Lucy looks appalled: I figured if I sat down, the dogs would move away from me so I could take better pictures. Didn't work. I'm pretty sure they are conspiring to steal my honey nut cheerios in this one. Lucy had just taken a nibble of the spoon. She also tried to eat the ring off my finger, a glove, and my 6 year old's toes. Which he loved. Sienna convinced her to stare at me and look hungry instead. The dogs are getting along perfectly. They were both napping when my sons woke and came downstairs this morning and Lucy greeted them like long lost friends. She is a kisser like Sienna.
