In Rememberance Of Our Darling Tess

When my husband and I bought our first house together back in 1989 my Nanna wanted to buy us a 'moving in present' and we wanted a puppy, so along came Tess a little bundle of fluff...

Sadly I lost my Nan later that year through cancer, watched her waste away before me.

Hateful horrid disease! As long as we had Tess who because of this was precious and special to us, I felt my Nan was near-by.

It's four years today since we had to make such a difficult decision and let you go.....I grieved twice when you died, once for you and again for the broken bond with my Nanna.

For such a little dog you had a big personality, the house has been so different without you.

My little fighter through allsorts of illnesses and injuries I'm so glad you weren't scared at the end. I always wandered how I would know when the time was right, but you told me......with a full tummy of your favorite food, the fire was lit at home and you were warm and sleepy snuggling with me. Ken our vet and a dear friend who gave you your 1st injections as a puppy, gave you your last after saying our goodbyes :(

We miss you terribly but Nanna and your housemate Rosie was there to meet you I know.....

Love you :beatheart

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.

Karen, what a lovely post you've written about your dear Tess. I love the picture of her covered with mud and also the one where she is leaping so high. A wonderful larger than life character. :grouphug Hugs to you for Tess and for your Nanna too.
