Guest RooCroo Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009 Our "honorary greyhound" and Queen of the Pack, Lacy, left her earthly body on the second Monday in July. She fought Cushing's syndrome for nearly 7 years, and her little body just gave out. On Saturday she decided to stop eating, and by Sunday we knew she was asking to be set free. Monday we helped her cross the Bridge to meet her best friend, our first greyhound, Miss Sissy. She was 16 years and 7 months old. Thank you, Lacy, for helping us raise and housebreak Hoovie and Bloo when they were babies. Thank you for being gently firm with them, even though they were full of puppy zoomies and were very frustrating at times. Thank you for being the best companion and friend anyone could ask for. We love you, sweetheart, and will see you again some day. Fly free, and look in on little Kiki from time to time to keep her puppy zoomies in line.
