Guest wjamg
Yesterday I didn't get a chance to post, sorry for not giving an update. I went to bed early and slept until it was time for work. It seems Peace was having a reaction to Tramadol. Since she has been taken off it the change is remarkable. She slept last night and almost all of today. She is coming over for cuddles now and even playbows when one of us comes in the door. Both of the abscesses have stopped draining, she got the second abscess because the first one was healing before the infection had finished draining. I talked to the skin tissue/surgery department at OSU and they will see her Monday, they also told me that the abscesses on the anal region take longer to heal because of the bacteria in the area. I was very impressed with how accommodating and nice they were to me. I will definitely use them in the future for any issues, I just wish I had known they could of done Peaces surgery. So things are looking better, she seldom tries to lick the area now, as long as someone is around, we don't even have to use her cone(we bought the comfort cone which I really recommend, I tried making the homemade one but Peace was able to take it off) she looks like she is wearing an Amish bonnet which is very appropriate around here with all our Amish neighbors. She goes for a recheck again tomorrow. Can someone explain to me how to post an update to an earlier post?? can't seem to figure that out. Thanks for everyone well wishes for my girl..I will post a picture soon

Remolacha
That's a wonderful update! Tramadol is generally a very good drug, it was a lifesaver for Sugar, but Peace is not the first grey I have heard of who had a bad reaction to it. Glad she is doing better. Guest FullMetalFrank
I am glad to hear she is feeling a little better. I know tramadol is a very good pain reliever but it is not for everybody (or every pup) I take it myself and one of the potential side effects is agitation and restlessness. I hope her recheck and OSU appointment go well!
robinw
that is great news! to post an update, click edit then full edit on the lower right hand side of your original post. from there you can add updates or change the title. i think you have to be a GT supporter to be able to do this, though. ETA that Loca didn't do well on Tramadol, either. Edited August 6, 2009 by robinw Quote Xavi the galgo and Peter the cat. Guest greytexplorer
Can someone explain to me how to post an update to an earlier post?? can't seem to figure that out. Look at the top where it says Post #1. Above that, you should see 3 buttons: Edit, Add Reply, New Topic Click on Edit, and you should be able to change the thread's title, and add anything new in the first post, etc. BUT I don't know if this feature is provided to everyone, or if you have to be a Supporter. Nothing wrong with starting a new thread, IMO. Hoping that Peace continues to heal and improve, and that Mandy and Sheila don't need this surgery! ~Pat
