Guest Mom2Gr8dawgs Posted April 11, 2009 Share Posted April 11, 2009 My heart is broken today. Fifi had not been feeling very good this week. We took her to the vet on Tuesday, put her on some meds, and she seemed to be doing much better. She went out at 11 last night and was fine. She was not fine when we woke up. We got her to the vet's office as soon as they were open. During the 15 minute trip to the vet, one of her back legs went from normal to hugely swollen. By the time she got on the table, she was struggling to breath. The vet diagnosed her with DIC and felt that she had massive internal bleeding going on. There was nothing we could do to make her better, so we released her from the suffering. Fifi was an awesome, sweet, mischevious girl who loved her Daddy and food more than anything. Fifi has only been with our family for about a year and a half, and only officially ours for less than that, but it seems like she's been part of our family forever. Fifi tried out several homes before picking her forever one, so quite a few people have been touched by this sweetie. We love you Flea. You are in our hearts forever.
