Guest mike
Why would you do a bone biopsy if you won't amputate? They are extremely painful for the dog. If I had a patient who wasn't a candidate for an amputation I would NOT do this.
RobinM
Why would you do a bone biopsy if you won't amputate? They are extremely painful for the dog. If I had a patient who wasn't a candidate for an amputation I would NOT do this. Most definitely. What would the point be? In addition, there is always a chance of the leg fracturing from the biospy. Then, your decision is made the hard way. Continued prayers for your boy. duncan41
Why would you do a bone biopsy if you won't amputate? They are extremely painful for the dog. If I had a patient who wasn't a candidate for an amputation I would NOT do this. Please follow this advice. No need to put Clark through any more than necessary. Guest TaraCoachCougar
Sending lots and lots of prayers for Clark. From someone who recently went through this, I totally understand your pre-decision not to amputate. Our Coach would not have made a good tripod at all. I did forgo the bioposy and decided just to monitor progression with future x-rays. Good luck and give that boy lots of hugs!

gryhndsr4us
Sorry for the late update. Clark is sleeping right now. His chest xrays were clear. they restitched one area where his canine was puuled a few weeks ago (it has almost healed). His test results will be back in three days. The office staff and vet techs were loving on him. They are very fond of him there.
