He was unable to tell what it is connected to because it's so big and pushing everything out of the way. He feels it's a connective tissue tumor, but did not recommend a fine needle aspirate and cytology because there's a less than 50% chance that we'd get a definitive answer. He does not think it's a hemangiosarcoma. We do not know if we will pursue surgery at this point - the doc is going to e-mail me the report of his findings and we'll talk to Dr. Patty again. We're going to look into what we can do to shrink the tumor, but will probably not put her through surgery. I sent an e-mail out to Ohio State to ask about chemotherapy and/or artemisinin, and I have a case of a/d arriving tomorrow.
