Guest makenna25 Posted February 15, 2009 Share Posted February 15, 2009 I know I have been "gone" for a few days form the form. I didn't have anything new to report. Yesterday, Valentine's Day, we said goodbye to our "Mr Ro." The cancer had moved to his right eye and took away his vision causing him to run into walls and really struggle walking. He also was so weak he couldn't get up the stairs anymore. It was the hardest thing I have ever experienced, but we had him put down. His suffering was too great and he wasn't really himself anymore. I know many of you have had to put down a dog before, so you know, it is an awful feeling to see and feel your pup go, but there is comfort knowing he is suffering no more. Thanks for everyone for your thoughts, prayers and kind words. I know everyone thinks this about their own, but Cairo was a special boy, he really was. We will NEVER forget him! It's hard to get past what happened at the end, I know. It haunts and overwhelms. But one day you'll be able to see only the happiest of the memories and smile at the thought of your beautiful boy.
