greytluck Posted November 4, 2008 Author Share Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) I just got off the phone with the vet but unfortunately I don't have to much more info. He has been at the vet on IV with an antibiotic drip since around 7am, but there hasn't been any improvements in his condition. He is still very lethargic and seems to be in pain despite being given a metacam injection. His heart rate and breathing have increased since yesterday and he continues to pant at almost any movement he does. I thought he was going for an ultrasound today but there was a miss communication so it's scheduled for tomorrow morning. He is getting more blood work done today to see if anything has changed and test for a few more things the vet thinks may be going on. I wish I had more info but that's were it stands right now. I've also been in contact with Dr. Couto office and sent them all his blood work. Hopefully he may find something our vet missed. Guest meakah Posted November 4, 2008 Share Posted November 4, 2008 Geez, how frustrating. Thanks for the updated. I am glad to hear you have another opinion involved. I was going to suggest that. Not that I think your vet is not doing a good job but sometimes when one gets stumped it is best to get another set of eyes and in this case....sooner rather than later would be a good idea. He was so happy to see us, he even gave a smile and a little tail wag. It was short lived but at least it was something. I just wish he could tell me whats wrong so I could fix him.
