Well this morning Conner had a hard time getting up, he screamed 2x before he could actually get up on all 4s. I fed him but he did not want to eat which is unusual for him. We have gotten him into the routine of eating at 8am, and 8pm. I tried 3x to get him to eat and no go. He went back to his bed to lay down.

Hopefully answers come this weekend.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!

Any color changes in the stool at all? Maybe it's not IBD. Hopefully the ultrasound will tell you more. We're thinking of you.

Actually there was but for the good. We told the doc last night he was still having diaherra, and when we got home he had a normal stool happening. We were joking he is trying to make a lier out of us but he always has diaherra or he is straining to go. That is the first time in along time that I seen a normal stool from him.

I had the same issues with my collie. The stool started changing colors and had a funky stink. He'd then have the major runs (had to use baby wipes and trim his butt fur), then back to normal for a few days, and over and over. He was around 11-12 yrs old at the time (he was a stray, so we weren't sure of his age). Unfortunately for Max, it wasn't good. But.....I'm thinking positive thoughts for you both. I hope you have some answers this weekend.

Oh poor Conner! :cry1 I'm sorry - only just seeing this, haven't been able to get on much for the last day or so. Sending many hugs to you, and keeping my fingers crossed that Conner will soon be ok...

Well he would not eat last night, won't eat this morning. Kool Aid backed into Conners left back side last night and he screamed like he was being beaten. After that he went and layed down and we got him up to check him out but when we finally got him up when he walked he was walking so slow and gingerly, you could tell he was hurting.

This sucks....We were just getting on track with the IBD and now this. How much more can my sweet boy take.

Poor sweetheart. It is so hard when they are obviously in pain. I hope that your vet will soon be able to resolve whatever is going on with your boy.

I was just thinking about Connor the other day, hoping he was better... :( I know you've tried and looked at a ton of stuff, but it really sounds to me like he has some neck/back problems. The straining from the IBD could have strained or pulled something, that still flares up. Has he been to a chiropractor or acupuncture? Max has problems with his neck, and as it gets bad, his jaw tightens up so much that when he yawns it locks, and he cries and cries until it relaxes. Once it gets to this point, the vet does an adjustment, and he is fine. It might be worth a look...good luck

My boys, together again...

Well we just went to the vets to talk with her. She has decided that we need a fresh set of eyes. She does not feel she is doing Conner any good by not knowing what all is wrong. So we have an ultra sound and exam set for Tuesday with another doctor. We have done just about everything but this test. We have not done the chiro or acupunture because we have never got a clear diagnosis as to why he hurts. He had hurt his neck before but we seem to get over that. The doc has manipulate his neck back, no screaming, you touch his tummy and he screams.

So Tuesday it is for an ultra sound and I am praying that they will find something minor that will be fixed easily. Until then she has put him on Medicam which is a inflammatory/pain reliever.

Can you take him to an internal medicine specialist at a referral center if the ultrasound is inconclusive? Ultrasounds can be pretty darned good though, so maybe this will be the turning point. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for good news for Connor and you.

We will keep Connor in our thoughts. I know how frustrating not knowing is. And waiting....

A second set of eyes is a good thought. That is what we finally did. Sadly, we may have the answer. We are also waiting until Monday or Tuesday.

Give you boy a hug for us!
