Guest larock Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 We checked him into the emerge clinic yesterday morning because he had stopped eating, had developed very bad diarrhea and was becoming dehydrated. We knew it was serious but thought we'd wait to see if he'd respond to the intravenous meds. We spent an hour with him last night stroking his fur and talking to him. He wasn't looking much better but he was peaceful and his fever has broken, so we remained guardedly hopeful. This morning at 5am they called to say he had developed an arrhythmia in his heart and that they had just put him on pain meds. We left for the clinic right away and let him go around 6:30am. He fought a brave battle and while his Lymphangietasia was under control both emerge vets felt he had developed an other more serious issue in his intestines. Most likely cancer.
