I had several Greys who disliked lamb, raw or stewed. One did the weird jaw quivering,licking fresh blood thing.

i had a dog that had a couple of these events usually after I ran of their vitamins, pet tabs. needless to say I made sure to keep the stock level up on their vitamins.

One of mine had these. I called them dumb seizures. they'd forget how to do the simplest things. We figured them to be bouts of Hypoglycemia. We would give high cal/sugar snack. Like honey or mashed potaoes and gravy. The honey worked the quickest. She lived to 15 so they really had little impact on her life. Having also had a real seizure dog, i too belive that seizures and sleep cycles are related. Most of his seizures where in the middle of the night.

Today is Harry's 8th birthday. He had his second chemo treatment 10 days ago.

Harry is currently on gabapentin 300mg bid and bactrim twice a day. He has had one round of carboplatin. Next round is August 1st. I forgot to ask about his heartworm med! He gets sentinel, any reason for him to not get it?

Unfortunately my Harry (Atascocita Harry) has joined this terrible club. He was diagnosed last Monday and had limb removal surgery friday. (Left rear)

I too think of him often.

If your vet us open to other ideas ask them to contact Ohio state & Dr coutos program. I believe they to have a treatment for these that involve a small implanted seed of something. RooRoo's Rizzo had this done in 2009. he never had a reoccurance. He just passed last month but due to other causes.

Can you add Rizzo. RooRoo & her husband lost him christmas day.

I am sorry for your loss. I have lost one grey like this and the rest to, not lingering, but to knowing they were declining. To me the sudden loss is harder. I still mourn for losing Red. From his refusing breakfast to letting him go before supper.
