I'm so very sorry. You wrote a great tribute to a wonderful girl who was fortunate enough to spend the last half of her life exactly where she belonged. Godspeed Raven.
  2. I'm so very sorry. Godspeed Melissa.
  3. I don't suppose she'd like it, but what about a harness? For Cora, I used the Ruffwear Webmaster. I could either help her, or carry her down like a suitcase. Ruffwear has other models. In another thread, DofSweetPotatos mentioned the Help 'Em Up Harness.
  4. How incredibly sad. Godspeed Lauri.
  5. Well, she's a greyhound baby, so once she gets going... Go Happy!!!
  6. Given how things have been, that's actually a good report. Hoping hard for more progress. Soon.
  7. I have some that look like that. Another option is a cover for a baby mattress, flannel on the top/plastic on the bottom, and flannel wings that can be tucked under the cushions. That's what I have on the couch. Batmom had another source. I'll ask her to stop by and post the link.
  8. ^ infinity You can do it Princess. You have all of us cheering you on. You can do it.
  9. Have to be a GT supporter to do that. It's wonderful that she's doing so well.
  10. He sure has made big progress since last night's update, and he looks great! Kudos to your vet, and to your DH for his humour. Hope nobody needs the Valium tonight.
  11. This too depends on the dog. Minnie, diagnosed by scoping almost 8 years ago, can still eat the same protein that worked then.
  12. I'm so very sorry. Godspeed Shadow.
  13. If your vet is against Pepcid, there are other stomach protection meds too that might help. We use Misoprostal, because I keep it in stock for Minnie (my IBD dog). It helped Piper tolerate her antibiotics.
  14. Go Diamond! My suspicion is that, at least in some cases, OS affects the dog long before it shows on x-rays. Docs don't seem to agree, but...
  15. I'm so very sorry. He was far far too young. Godspeed Hoover.
  16. It's good that he's home. I hope he starts to feel better soon. Whitey.
  17. I hope you get some answers--some good answers--and can find some help for your precious boy.
  18. It sounds like he's doing pretty well, even if he's not where you want him to be. I hope he is walking well enough to come home tomorrow, and that his pain is still under control.
  19. It sounds like Star is doing very well. Here's to continued smooth progress. Good luck re the job.
  20. And then there's The Strange Case of My Piper, who has been known to have drinking/peeing issues. Nothing wrong with blood work. Nothing on the x-rays. Nothing in the urinalysis. Antibiotics help. Although...we just went through two rounds of this when our usual antibiotic didn't work, and the second did, but made her sick. She too is currently eating beef because that's the only thing she would eat while on the antibiotics, and I want to get some weight on her before I try her food again since she has also been known to get a UTI after a food change. ETA: She also leaks a lot more when she's having her drinking/peeing bouts. She's slightly incontinent (spotting) anyway; she's far worse when she drinks too much. I hope the urinalysis provides some answers for you and your foster.
